The state of New Jersey does not allow EEs.

Pretty sure that they do. Olsen just can't do it because of his high school, I don't believe that it's a state mandate though.

Pretty sure it is. Heard it from a Jersey guy. Either way, apparently the staff is really hyped about Knighton, this makes me like it even more.

And I love seeing us get kids from jersey. Lots of talent up there.

Knighton attends a prep school in Nj private school different rules. Olsen i believe is at a public school

Knighton says it will be decided whether he is a guard or tackle when he gets here. Definitely OL though(at first anyway).

Hun is a private school near Princeton. He is trying to get extra online credits to enroll early. Kid will play on Offense. No talk about Defense

.

Knighton said UM recruited him as an offensive lineman but that "if things don't work out they said I can definitely play defense."

#UM commit Hunter Knighton said he was worried about fitting in at #Miami. Few hours into the visit, he knew it was where he wanted to be.

Knighton was terrified of Eddie Johnson

Toal said as much as well during his recruitment. Wonder if its a white NJ thing. Miami is too "urban" for some white guys.

Good point, but NJ whites seem to fit in better than the average Southern or midwestern white. Golden being the prime example.

It really depends where, I gather. I know Larrrrrrry is NJ so he can attest, but I gather that some heavily white areas - summit, Princeton, Bergen, etc will be tough pulls and places closer to Philly or closer to the shore might be easier pulls. Lorenzo, what say you?

Who was the other white LB stud out of NJ some years back who backed out at the end as well?

I don't totally agree with NJ being very diverse as one other poster mentioned a few posts below yours. Most of NJ plays subpar football and isn't a place recruiters look for D1 prospects. The fertile grounds are in the northeast quadrant of the state...Bergan County down to around Monmouth...lots of solid private schools and old school solid public schools that has a lot of old guys floating around the program. But, those kids are well coached and usually decent kids, despite the urban population. Down south outside of Philly plays decent football. Most of New Jersey though...slow white kids...your boy included. The kids that play D1 level ball, usually in that NE Quadrant...I think more than MIAMI, they like and can relate to the Coral Gables area.

In NJ the Northern part of the state has good programs. It is alot of catholic schools up North that always produce good players (Bosco, Bergan Catholic, St. Joes Montvale, etc). Then like Larry said you have some pretty good "Shore" teams that always produce D1 athletes as well.
