From ON3 - Cyrus Allen La Tech WR offered

Offering the 6-foot-1 180-pounder was Hurricanes executive director of football Dennis Smith, who recruited Allen out of high school during his tenure at Louisiana Tech.

“It was a good call from coach D-Train,”. “I’m kind of familiar with him because he’s been recruiting me, so it was a no-brainer for him and me. It’s a good relationship between us, and that’s somewhere I’m really considering visiting.”

During the conversation, Smith told Allen how he believes he can be a great addition to the Hurricanes’ receiving core, which shined under first-year wideouts coach Kevin Beard this season.

“He was telling me that they do have three receivers, but they’re looking for another guy to complete everything,” Allen said. “It’s good having that Louisiana connection (with Dennis Smith and others), because that’ll be a lot of people I’m familiar with. It’ll be good to see some Louisiana faces, and they’ll keep me going.”

How good is he?

Came here look for some info on this one. Looks like he had a nice R-Fr season for Pitt. I didn't even realize samson had a brother at Pitt. Wonder if he's a lock to come down to Miami? They seem to like to do the brother thing and wouldn't hurt in keeping Samson in miami long enough to develop. About a week or so ago someone on twitter was saying it was all but a done deal with him to miami. Doubt he had any inside knowledge tho. Curious what some of the insiders on this board think.
