Right now have Wesley and Popo as starters next year with Hayes, Pruitt, Alderman as backups? Kevin Wiley there as well who will most likely get some PT

Honestly TrumpyCane wouldn't mind going into the season with those, at some point Nicholson's boys have to be ready and there are some high ranking players there, Nicholson is being paid alot

It is much more cost effective to pay for good assistant coaches and develop guys. You likely don't have to pay much for the initial breakout year and then it's much cheaper to retain talent than acquire it.
