This CFP run will definitely make or break this recent surge for him. Shedeur is the odds on favorite, but he needs good weapons and a good OL to have success at the next level. I saw a stat where roughly 40% of Shedeur’s total yards this season have come on RPO or bubble screens. Not exactly ripping it downfield like Cam can, going through progressions etc.

Cam is my pick to go #1, imo it’s not going to be Hunter. My money would be on a QB - and Allar has displayed Josh Allen-esque tendencies (and similar frame) in recent weeks, which coincides with the surge and what NFL scouts are seeing. Milroe, Ewers, Beck, McCord…all these guys are just bleh. Some might stay in college. Allar is the most projectable amongst those, at least that’s what the scouts see. And with the Josh Allen hype train running around, people are looking for the next mold.
Holy **** ALLAR #1??

Man NFL gon NFL when it comes to QBs. That kid is a 3-4th rounder

I’m with you on Cam though

#1 pick is going to depend on who has it. If a team like NE, Jacksonville, or Carolina ends up with the pick its not going to be a QB. All these mock drafts are just for people to talk about. Until the final week is over then all this will come into more focus. Right now its to space filler.

Is Mateer a one and done guy? I believe he has two years left - maybe that's what he is looking at with OU. Building it over two years.

IDK what else could be the draw.

He's only looking there because of the coaches they signed.

Outside of that, there is no reasoning.

I would assume the plan is to go one and done. Unless he has a rough season he’ll shoot up draft boards as people see it all translate to a higher level and as he gets more national attention.

They’ll trade back for sure. NE and Carolina 1000%.

Jacksonville not sure.

Agree with the thought of Cam possibly being QB1. If not sold on QB - and lot of folks aren’t - Hunter is easily best player in the draft. It’s a sub-par QB class. Allar is not the guy and Josh Allen hype is a reach to even Penn State fans.

Well ****. What did he see that was so crazy? The NIL offer? 🤣

If we lose high school recruits to Oregon and Texas this is why you make sure you come in 2nd. Those two schools are next level right now with recruiting and NIL. But it’s also going to be a revolving door as once the money high wears off and you realize you actually want to play you will be looking for the school that you actually liked the best.
