Line Miami(-5.5) vs GT

I dont think Howard or Crawford played a snap last year in this game. I remember Al saying we had to go with the seniors because the Freshman were not ready for that offense. Thats another thing that worries me. How many first year starters have played against this O?

Perryman, McGee, Chickillo off of the top of my head were first year starters when we shut them down in '11.

only thing i can think is that they are not sure about Morris/Duke playing

we should be 10 point favorites at home

Our biggest liability in this game are our peremiter defenders. Gunter is suited well for this game at his size, but Howard/Crawford/Burns will need to really step up in run support. Our safeties will need be men as well. I hope Deon is ready because we will need his closing speed in the allies. That being said, I still think Miami wins by at least 2 touchdowns. I don't think they can stop us enough and we have done a great job of making them turn the ball over the last few years. Something like 38-20 is my prediction

Howard's not a big dude, but he's far from a liability in the tackling department. That dude will trade paint with you. He puts the plastic on guys and takes them down with aplomb.

We pull out and nut in their eye. Then say "my bad" and leave a tip on the table. The tip is lotto numbers from a fortune cookie.

I think we are forgetting that GT put up 36 straight on us last year and we barely got out of that game with a W. Now I agree, if we play well, especially offensively, we roll. But if we aren't sharp, I'm still not fully convinced our defense will shut them down. Yes, we are much improved from last year, and a healthy porter + renfrow and pierre help bigtime. But GT's lame offense can put up points if you aren't prepared. We should win, but the sample size for me is still too small for me to say with full confidence that our defense will shut down their offense, especially with how helpless we looked at times last year against them

We've beaten them 4 times in a row, and 3 of those were beatdowns.

We completely shut them down in 2011, and our defense is much better this year.

It took our WOAT defense for them to give us a game last year at home.

I want a bloodbath at Sun Life.

That's a great post because our defense is the same as it was last year.

In terms of what? It's not the players because we have tremendous depth along the front, guys are healthy and we have new bodies in there. I don't believe it's the scheme, either. I'm no xs and os geek like others on here supposedly are, but the scheme and what we're running this year sure looks different to me. Different looks, more aggressive, etc.

I do agree, though, that GT can hang 20-25 on us if we're not careful.

I'm pretty sure 'Chise wrote that with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek.

You are correct. When guys start talking about what teams did to our D last year I automatically chalk it up as dumb and stop reading.

42-17 all Canes. Not worried about this game. That Paul Johnson, how he still has a job is one of life's mysteries. The odd thing is, GT is in a talent rich state. They could do so much more yet there they are running an antiquated offense.

Anyone worried about this game should stop. We roll.
