True, but they won't be starting any freshmen, except maybe Figueroa, on defense this year. Lining up a 215lb true freshman at DE, like they had to do with McCord at times, along with all the other freshmen, was a recipe for disaster. Undersized, inexperienced kids playing a lot of meaningful minutes is a not a recipe for success. They won't have that excuse this year.

AGREED. He should say nothing and do nothing the entire offseason. Just turn into a mute from January to September. That way no expectations will be set on his part, no disseminated information can be misconstrued by anyone.

Its interesting to see the less mature, less seasoned, less common-sensed portion of our fan base posting their dislike of Al Golden's use of psychology in running a football program. My guess is these are likely the same fans who brag about what Jimmy Johnson did at UM. It seems they dont realize that Jimmy Johnson was the master of using psychology with his players.

Nobody is bemoaning his use of parapsychology to run his football program. But through two seasons all of the fancy talk has resulted in 13 wins. It's about time we see the Goldens Mind Tricks develop into actual results on the football field, particularly on defense.
