AGREED. He should say nothing and do nothing the entire offseason. Just turn into a mute from January to September. That way no expectations will be set on his part, no disseminated information can be misconstrued by anyone.

I would rather him tell me how much more a certain player is squatting and power cleaning than last year than his pillars of construction. That is more reassuring to me.

But neither get you the victory against UF.

I think it is clear as day that he is getting these kids in the weight room but reporting on McCord's increase in a squat or Moore's increase in squats don't guarantee you the win against UF. So your issue is your not getting the information that YOU WANT (send email to goldenal@miami.edu) in the off season.

Agreed. He needs to get a game on the schedule, I just don't know if another school is ready to play today because it is the off-season.

In addition, everyone stop recruiting and focus on the non-existing opponent today.

Golden did what he was spose to do. Take a group of washed up Sr and Jr. on a team that had key contributed suspended throughout the season and get to 6 wins so we could self impose. He then took a team with Fresh. and Soph. Under the same investigation. got them to 6 wins so we could self impose. He signed at top 10 recruiting class with self imposed recruiting restrictions. People need to get with the times. Pitt has won more championships than us. Should they have gone undefeated every year for the last decade? This roster SUCKED when Golden took over. And there is still alot of dead weight and low numbers. Al is just getting started. We had equal or less talent than most of the teams we faced last season and our record reflected it. So Al can't coach because he couldn't get a team of freshman and soph. to go undefeated?

I understand that you have issues with the Coach and Co. but attacking him today for

A. Not beating UF (even though we haven't faced them yet), or

B. Not having a better record

Makes no sense TODAY. People are aware of his record and the team's performance the past two seasons. People are either optimistic or pessimistic (both are well within your rights).

Today is part of the off-season, not sure why you expect something different today (regardless of your feeling of Al).

I guess you forgot in 2011 we had the 17th ranked scoring defense. I think many on here would suck several cacks if it got us to only let up 20.10 PPG in 2013.

But all you are doing is whining about the results from a season that hasn't even happened yet. Yes, we had a bad defense...we also had bad and/or young players plus no depth. You want to whine about the coming season's results, how about waiting until they are actually on the field.

I actually think that's fair rokulika. I have no problem with that. When he came to UM, I said I would give him 3 to 4 years to right the ship and show us that we picked the right man for the job. I think there wasn't much more he could have done with the first two seasons, It was more of holding everything together with duct tape. This year and next year I think will really go towards defining his Cane Legacy.
