Lets try a NEW POST...we are awared the Kick off classic

The real reason to add tough opponents to the schedule is ticket sales. Miami can't fill the stadium against no name opponents. You saw the turnout for FSU last year and you will see the turnout and ticket prices for UF this year.
LSU didn't offer a home and home and therefore another missed opportunity to fill Sun Life.

I'm hoping that the new playoff system rewards teams to play tough OOC game yearly. Just would be more fun for teams to be looking for big match ups, not easy wins.

I know it sucks, but I want to play for national titles...the easiest path to a title game is what I want. Everyone else is doing it so why not us?

easy to do but not in our tradition

Its not feasible in this newer day and age...times have changed. We want to have our cake and eat it too, but the reality is that there will never be another dynasty like the Canes of the 80s and early 90s. Not Bama, not anyone.

That parity argument is complete BS you claim there will be no dynasty's and even mention Bama when Bama is on a dynasty run right now? Makes zero sense.

Calm the **** down...they're definitely a dynasty. I'm not disputing that (where did I say that??), but its not the same. The Canes were completely dominant for a 10+ yr stretch prior to the probation. During that timeframe, we played anyone...anywhere...anytime. It was badass...

Bama have been dominant for a short stretch. Definitely domination to the point that they're considered a dynasty. However, its not the same in the sense that they DO NOT play anyone, anytime, anywhere (fitting into the context of this thread). It just doesn't happen that way anymore.

For example, Bama just needs to play their SEC schedule, win all their games (or even lose a game in some instances), win their SEC Title game, suck up the ESPN hype...profit. It didn't work that way with the Canes. Whoever wanted to put us on their schedule (quickly that list dwindled) we played...and dominated.

The big difference is that Bama doesn't really have any competition and when they do lose they get in the NC anyway. In the 80's we had OU, who beat the crap out of everyone except us for three years. FSU beat the crap out of everyone except us and we played every year. And then there was ND for a few years. Oh and PSU. Those OU and FSU teams would have took today's Bama teams apart. I hate tiny lou, but his ND team could have handled Bama. In the end, we destroyed the OU program for years to come. And the Cornhuskers also. ND was not heard from again until this year. We killed the LSU program by a massive beat down in their house. It took UT forever to recover from that Cotton Bowl. We played in or got cheated out of playing in every NC game for over ten years. Bama does not have anyone that can beat them now. The 80's and early 90's were the most exciting football ever. Is there anything out there like Miami vs FSU year after year. Bama gets giftwrapped NC like a second shot at LSU after not even winning their own division. Did FSU ever get a second shot after all those blown games against us? Did ND have to play us again after stealing that game up there. We got screwed every chance there was, while Bama gets every break. Against the teams win played, Bama would get its rear end wupped.

Probably wont as the $ec moves towards a 9 game conference schedule. So you know their remaining games will be cupcakes.

As for 2014 kickoff (assume that's what we are talking about) I don't want a big Sec game since we will be breaking in a new QB and a lot of other offense of players. Don't be surprised if we go from a very good to great 2013 season to a subpar 2014.

Personally...when we are fully loaded and back on track, I would like to play LSU on a neutral field as that is the game where I felt the wheels came off (peach bowl)

This. Those biches took our souls that night. We ain't been the same since.....smdh. I've always felt that we have to face them and beat them in order to reverse the mojo.

I don't want to hear any stupid **** about breaking in a new QB. We are going to be ******* LOADED next year. Its going to be an opportunity for us to put on a show.

This, I would love to play Georgia, LSU, Bama, or Florida. Really anyone from the $EC that wants a taste.

Florida (self explanatory)
Louisville (they need to at least play someone respectable)
South Carolina (exhibit A of SEC bias. They are ranked high every year for no reason)
UCF (I could go to the game easier)
Michigan
LSU
