Let’s play hypotheticals if SMU beats Clemson

we can only play the teams that are on our schedule

Look at a team like ole miss' schedule and ours. If we switched what are the respective records?
I count at least 4 losses if Miami plays the same schedule Ole Miss played. The schedule was ridiculously easy for Miami especially when you have the number 1 offense but yet they lose 2 games.

Same. It’s incredible how the fans of these other teams are lobbying for them to get in. Meanwhile, our fans are lobbying for our team to get left out.

Worst fanbase in America by far.
No **** it’s the worst fanbase by far because there’s delusional ***** like you who still think Miami should get in. Or pull the old oh everyone is against Miami. Miami loses to **** teams year after year of course they are still a joke in college football. Look at the ******* resumes of those teams on the bubble. Miami hasn’t had a win vs a ranked team all year.

Bama and Miami have a mutual opponent.

Bama home vs USF 42-16
Miami on road vs USF 50-15
5 point game with 6 minutes left. I wonder if they’ll consider game
Control

And Bama was down with like 9 minutes left in the game.

Not to mention they got BLOWN OUT by 6-6 OU and lost to 6-6 Vandy.

Meanwhile we lost to a decent 7-5 team and a ranked 9-3 team.
Bama and South Carolina both had a loss by 3 scores in which they only scored 3 points. Ole Miss and Miami have a mutual opponent in UF, both @ UF. We know how those games went.

Bro HOW?? Ole miss is a team that’s getting lobbied for over Miami and the common argument is that if Miami played an sec schedule there record would be xyz, but we share common opponents with ole miss. They went 1-1 while we went 2-0. Now if they played our schedule we know they have at least 1 loss and they’ve shown themselves capable of losing to 4-8 kentucky so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that they could also lose to gt, syracuse or another random acc team. Sure, they beat georgia but based on what we just covered, why couldn’t Miami beat them as well?

I’m not saying its a guarantee we beat Alabama, but it’s odd that we can share a common opponent and beat them by a similar margin, we can both lose to average teams but Alabama gets to take it a step farther and get absolutely blown out by one and still get the benefit of the doubt. That **** just doesn’t track.

I don’t think we get boatraced by anyone as our offense is always going to score points.

Alabama put up 3 points to Oklahoma last week.
South Carolina is a team that, based on the past 2 months, should be the 3 loss team considered. Of course they last loss was to Alabama in a game they absolutely blew at the end iirc.

Forget the projections.
For the entire second half of the season they had us sitting at #3.

Bama's in.
If they do rank us ahead of them, SMU will probably lay an egg on Saturday.

After losing to two .500 opponents, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma, there is no way Alabama deserves to be in over any power conference team with only two losses.
Has Miami beat anyone of significance? Find then put ASU then since them and Miami have the same record and ASU has better wins than Miami.

Look up the worse offenses out of the playoff eams and that is who we match up best against. Maybe also less physical teams as well

That means we would want to play UTenn > B12 Champ > Boise St > ND/ SMU > Indiana > PSU > UGA > Oregon > Texas > Ohio St
