Let’s cool down a minute

“If we get 25 3* players we would have finished top 9th in 2017 and 12th in 2018 “. Must have done some Josh Jobe type math to get to those numbers 😂😂......only reason not be whining and *****ing about this program is because it’s just football after all but all this sugarcoating and sunshine pumping and excuses for Richt isn’t fooling anyone with enough brain cells
That’s not what I said at all. Look at the mock I was referring to. There are a lot of 3 stars but also some good players, bluechips, some already committed.

The Program is a mid level program and it won’t change. These SF kids want offers in the 9th grade because we can’t come late to the party. We are not an elite program. These kids want loyalty but aren’t loyal themselves. Brownlee for example. Underrated 3 star we offer and he commits. As soon as other schools show love he’s gone. CMR running a pre-historic offense is killing us. The thing we had was Manny's top Defense and the Chain. Most these kids are using Miami as a place holder school. We are flipping OL from App State. WTF. It’s over fellas, time to get real. Winning the Coatal is the goal, forget the playoffs

OP left out the fact that 'mock' class has us getting a ton of guys who are not currently committed including same highly rated guys like MAR, Haze, Bogle etc...

The rate we are going with decommitments I'd take nothing for granted.

I didnt say I was happy with the way things are currently going but my point remains that we *****ing and winning on message boards and social media are doing nothing but further demishing the perception around this program that has already been weak for almost 2 decades. You all are craxy if you believe recruits don’t see this stuff and are even crazier if you believe it doesn’t negatively impact them.

I would upvote this 1000x. The fans and people running social media appearing to be "official" Miami sites are killing themselves.

What a pathetic apology!!! Now go back and do your backflips with Richt

Do you get paid to run interference for this staff?

If not you should bruh... Smh lol

Look at the gator tears thread, El around this time last year. At the end of their 4-win season, you had UF fans starting to analyze points and rankings regardless of what the players looked like or ignoring where the holes on their then current roster needed to be addressed. This thread tells you something.

So Richt and the staff aren't to blame for what's going on now? Maybe fans wouldn't ***** and complain if the staff was making the right moves on and off the field in terms of performance and recruiting.

Fans complaining is merely a symptom, not the root cause.

Yep!!
For some reason when the Richt BJ brigade start to make that argument that it’s the fans complaining fault....I’m reminded of a battered wife saying it was her fault for complaining and everything would be fine had she just stayed quiet

@KWConch @TRick72 @RVACane And to the rest of my old Gator Tears crew. It looks like Cuban-Cane has found the old Gaytor Mathz super Calculator and has updated the software on it to do some Canez Mathz.

Also, Cuban-Cane I will give you a nice tip from our Gaytor buddies on how to bump that projected class up a few notches. Figure out how many of those teams in the top 9 from 2017 or top 12 in 2018 had kids transfer our. You can subtract those kids points from the class, but make sure you don't add any transfers points to the class that doesn't count(unless they transferred into Miami, then you can count them).

That 2 Star flip spin job was amazing!
I still can’t believe the BJ brigade found a way to spin that into a positive.
But but but but but ten years ago a TE turned in a good LT so it could happen again!!

At this point I don't trust any mock, any recruit, any "commitment" because it's been that type of year. Hope this is a strong weekend and I'm never going to give up **** that but I'm just wait and see now

Recruiting has honestly taken a back seat to the DC search as far as worrying goes for me. Gonna be breaking in a new DC in Orlando against ufag with 3 new starting dbs, possibly 2 new starting lbs, and probably two new starting dline. We got bigger fish to fry gents

It doesn't matter who the DC is, or how we finish in recruiting. If Richt doesn't hire an OC, we will lose 5 games again, 4 with some luck.

There are always trolls, who will say/type things just to get a rise out of people. There are always fans who will complain no matter what, because they are miserable. And there are always fans who will have unreasonable expectations and set themselves up for disappointment.

But, when you see an overwhelming majority of real, orange-and-green-blood-pumping fans/alumni/donors/boosters all echoing similar complaints, that's not "b!tching" or "whining" or "being female" (which is an outdated concept, by the way, @skeeter... my wife is a cold-blooded professional with a Ph.D who would castrate Flake Shames if he allowed this clown show to continue). This is just reality.

By the end of this week, we'll likely have lost at least 7 commits between the 2019/2020 classes. We will have lost our best assistant coach, who ran the defense with complete autonomy and little oversight. We'll likely have lost a promising, young coach (Banda), who is the best recruiter on the defensive side of the ball. Banda leaving will undoubtedly hurt our chances of signing Stevenson, one of our highest rated defensive targets for the cycle.

On the other side of the ball, we had one of the worst offensive years in the last three decades of Hurricane football. Our offensive line looks atrocious, and there is little to no immediate help in sight, both from a coaching standpoint and from a recruiting standpoint. Our offensive philosophy needs to be revamped entirely, and we need a fresh, creative mind at OC, but there is currently zero indication from the staff/administration that help is on the way. We have a handful of recruits on offense, but none of them at QB or RB, and are only OT recruit currently committed is a consensus 3*.

In short, there is ample cause for the many reasonable, long-tenured fans (including guys like @Liberty City El and @orange&green84) are concerned and voicing their displeasure. It's not crazy talk. It's not b!tching. It's, sadly, the current state of the program.

Dude, I hear ya man, and there was a time I felt the same way. At this point, though, the writing is on the wall in three foot tall, bolded and clearly outlined letters. Recruits can see it and read it better than us fans can. They don't need to read posters on a message board to realize that going to play for CMR and lilJon is not going to maximize their chances of getting to the NFL. Heck, MJJ didn't even need to see us play a game this year to realize this place would be a bad choice for him.

Our problem is 7-5 (in the freaking COASTAL!!!) with a passing offense ranked outside the top 100, not unhappy fans posting on a message board.

Everyone here could be singing "kumbaya, good times are here to stay" 24-7 and that's not going to get us a single recruit.

But look, like I said, if you truly believe that things are good and just staying optimistic is the way you need to be, you do you. You're a good poster, even if we happen to disagree at current. But don't blame those of us who see what a disaster Richt is creating. That's just not fair, man.
