The f'n Bramblebush. God what a piece of **** book that was. My elements professor was Andersen. Couldn't stand that guy or his class. Looking at the current faculty, it is amazing how many awful professors from 10+ years ago are still there today.
I actually took Anderson for Analysis of Evidence (not the actual "rules of" Evidence class that we all take for the bar exam). He was pretty good in that class, I learned a lot. Later, he coached myself and a handful of other 3Ls on the ABA National Mock Trial team. We got slaughtered by the "synchronized swimming" teams from Stetson and a few other schools, who had mocked the trial dozens of times. Anderson kept interrupting us, I think we only got to practice the entire trial twice before the competition.
By the way, the southeast regional competition was in Birmingham (and the former law students will know how competition judges are pulled from the community). Between the 4 of us, none of us had southern accents. It was like something out of My Cousin Vinnie, I might as well have asked about the two utes, and those other teams were REALLY playing up their southern accents. During breaks in the hallway, I got to hear how some of my opponents really spoke, and it was much closer to accent-less English.
