Leonard Manuel Decommits

Other than the PS2 and TC debacle, this is probably the worst stretch of recruiting for CMR and staff. Just feels like we have no momentum, we aren't taking kids we "offered" due to our board rankings seems weird, and having planned silent commits seems dumb. This allows the kids to visit other schools and find a reason why not to go to miami. Maybe I'm just overreacting to a bad couple of weeks but we can't keep becoming "Decommitment U"

The completion of the IPF and beating the breaks off LSU would really help right now.

This is what 3 losses in a row gets you, just like our win streak last year brought in a lot of commitments. ... N'Kosi will be the starter, and we will win a lot of games in 2018. Hope it's enough to get Manuel back on board.

All fans have to go on is visuals meaning the public things we see and hear. Right now it seems like the momentum is moving away from us. Whether it is or not who knows. Examples are Lucas to FSU, the db who committed to Michigan, Ladson to Clemson, Cunningham de-commits , and now Manuel? We need a few quality commits for this class soon. That would change things

Although this is a 2020 kid, the recruiting momentum has come to a screeching halt and we have been getting defecated on by our rivals these last few days. It's the truth of the situation, not a pessimistic outlook. If you say otherwise, you're lying to yourself
 
We'll have a great class. Things are going to change in the next 18 months, it is what it is.

Y’all really really really over play the “win and they’ll come” card. It’s just not true. Winning helps and it’s easier to recruit when winning, but recruiting is about relationships and selling the kid on playing at your school.

I agree 100% The public perception to recruits isn't good right now. I knew something was up with this kid yesterday for sure. I think the Ladson commitment to Clemson is what spurred this on. He was all over that on Saturday. One of the other kids - Derek Wingo- posted on his decommitment "he wants to go to Ohio State" who knows if that's true.

Losing this guy this early is no biggie. Miami/Ft Lauderdale is filled with really good skilled position players. No telling who will emerge over the next 2 years or what hidden player we dig up from some local Miami school. AR was rated #31 and he turned out just fine. He was even awesome as a freshman.
 
the chance of a decommitment..recommitting is slim. This one is probably over. **** not a good 2 weeks on the recruiting front
