Pff is highly overrated
Pff said Pinckney was one of the best cover LBs. I love the guy but being good is space is NOT who he is. He'll never be called a coverage LB.

Rumph wanted Davis and Asante Samuel Jr. Diaz did not until very late
If your giving Diaz credit for the all the defensive recruitment under his DC tenure. I must ask, where do u see the defencies as far as talent position by position I don’t see it..DE, check..DT, check..LB, those guys have been injured so jury is out..CB, Check..Safety, Check..right now recruiting is going well. Let’s see if he can change the trend of the decommits with this new method he has or whatever. But talent on defense is not a issue. Production hasn’t been a problem. Now we have to see if he can CEO and put every phase together at a elite level
Highest graded CBs in the country through 3 weeks. Anyone recognize the top 3 names?
But please, tell me more about how Rumph’s development trumps his lack of recruiting success.

Rofl, WTF is wrong with you man, we had the #1 pass defense in the nation last year, lost 3 starters, played 2 legit teams early in the year, Blades jr. hasnt given up 1 pass against him yet that i can remember, so he has to be ranked somewhere. Stop getting all wedged up over some nerd rankings! Where was jaquan, redwine, jackson and bandy ranked at last year by tbis same group! Also you trying to compare already built up programs to an up an coming one that has been heavily damaged by the troll shalala regime, it was a big 19 inside job all around, the penn disgrace morons didnt end up here by accident.
You need to calm yo *** down, dont be a phaggot, crying about the **** recruits that chose to go elsewhere, are you a UM fan or a recruiting websites fan, they got their guys, we got ours, we good over here, GTFOH with them bullshat stats!
Every last one of those young men that you are referring to could be ambassadors for the Bag Life brand. Rumph never had a chance.
Go Canes
But you need to use common sense, if we had the #1 defense last year since you want to be petty and try and point out it was "last year" that first shows you didnt have an appreciation for that accomplishment last year and you're to blinded by nerd recruiting sites to understand the coaches who played a major part in that are still here, so its obvious they know what they are doing, when is the last time UM has had any unit being #1 in something, so both of yall should stop bytching about a side of the ball that has consistently been playingcat a high level. You might want to focus on why the linebacking play has decreased!
Last year's pass defense was nearly elite. This year is average, which means we regressed badly. Yes our LBs have been bad, but our overall pass defense looks like we're starting 3 new guys in the secondary.
Last year, with a squad that was 6-7, we never allowed a 50 yard pass. This year we've already allowed 3 passes over 60 yards. The difference is Last year was Diaz's defense with an Al Golden lead secondary, and our best pass rusher in Gerald Willis was also acquired by Al Golden. This year, we're using Baker's defense with Diaz's choice of recruits.

X10002 of the 3 were bought and paid for. So unless you’re willing to open up the checkbook like fans of those other schools, I don’t see how we can criticize a guy who consistently turns so so talent into great cornerbacks.
So I guess my point is, be careful what you wish for. Put Rumph at Alabama or Georgia and our CB recruiting is really gonna suck.
Yeah, on paper. But I’ll say this and I always believe this, evaluation of a recruiting class starts on signing day but doesn’t end until the staff get hands on those kids and we see how the staff develops them. I just can’t look at stars by a name In FEB . That’s were (correct me if I’m wrong) ppl who are critical of mannys recruiting here get their premise from..so those big time targets that Golden hit on, how many actually lived up to the billing? Off the top of my head the only 4 or 5 stars who lived up under Golden were Duke 5Recruiting hasn't been bad. But its definitely not where it should be. Miami never pulled 5* recruits consistently like people are expecting us to, but even Al Golden hit on some of his big time targets.

Ain’t played nobody response. Check your bingo sheets.
Man gtfoh with that bull$h!t. 3 **** games. Wait till conference play starts or till someone does a full season before crowning them, especially defense.
