LB Gavin Nix commits to Miami... flips to Oregon 12/3

Cam Ward wasn't a waste of money - he was arguably the best QB in CFB.

Tyler Baron sure as **** was, though.
The return was a waste of money. I don’t know who my man talked to but I’ve heard similar things. You don’t get cam ward to increase a win total. You get cam ward to make a 12 team playoff. We failed. And you’re gonna see the results soon

We need the 11 spot. Bama has the name value and sec bias for sure, and South Carolina winning may put them over too. I doubt Ole Miss is ahead of us tbh. We will see. But let's not act like we are 100% out. There is still like a 25%+ chance we make it if SMU beats Clemson.
If it happens. Cool. If not I mean it’s just more of the same lol I was born in this darkness

Sure... But even "more of the same" in actuality if we finish higher than 13, it's literally our best finish since like 02 national championship loss. Lol, relativity is a thing. We ****ed ourselves extremely hard the last 3 weeks and ruined a potential national championship opportunity with an elite QB.
Yet we still had probably the best year we have had in 20 years. And it's not like we ****ed up with Ward. We had the best offense in the country and best in school history. So it's not like we got an elite QB and then failed with him specifically... It's not all doom and gloom.

Would you say the difference between us and a place like Texas (besides the difference in total amount) is that they if they fall short of expectation they still commit the following year regardless. It's not as transactional.

This is basically saying odds are we rank 13th this week in CFP poll

I don't expect or think UM deserves to be in it...

But if SMU loses…How are they a lock? (With nothing to do with UM)…And if they lose in non-close fashion, how are they in? I'd take South Carolina or others before them

Name an SMU win? At Louisville is nice, but refs helped that…Even if I give them that who else? TCU? They are barely top 40. And they will then have 2 losses if Clemson beats them.

That's the one thing I'm missing with all the talk, and that has nothing to do with UM. I don't expect UM to get in.

SMU should be a lock because they are a 1 loss team at the end of the regular season, and the committee has already said they do not want to punish teams for playing in championship games. Literally if SMU didn’t play in ACCCG due to some tie breaker they’d be guaranteed in CFP today. Thats why. Tell me why Indiana gets in CFP? They played like legit 1 good B1G team and got smoked by them - Ohio St

Just for the money alone I hope we somehow get it and I have a feeling that the committee puts them in if comes down to Miami or Bama. On the flip side if we don't and Mario face plants next year if he loves the school as much as he say he does then pull a Mark Richt and let them keep the money but I highly doubt there's another Richt type coach out there

This

Miami fans are so short sighted.

We spend a little bit of one time have the best season in 20+ years and then ppl are saying “we are wasting money, stop spending.”

Texas and the other big schools are commited year and year out to the mission.
