I hate when people try to pass off what they think as a fact.....

Did we not recruit battle hard enough early on ? Yeah that’s true but that changed in the spring and he absolutely was a priority. Now about Miami being his 4th team in the running it’s bullsh*t as he went on record after the game saying Miami was 2nd as we have been all along even when he committed...

Lol half this board is a lost cause with these dumb points... this staff is always “late” according to y’all bc we didn’t offer every recruit in the 9th grade. Freaking out about every update like some slow *** fools... “omg OKlahoma is a threat bc we offered too late” lol gtfoh. if Battle doesn’t come to Miami it’s bc he doesn’t want to play for Miami the end.

You appear to be making a bunch of assumptions in this thread, but passing info along as if you are "in the know"....only to come back a couple of post ago and say that you are not an insider. You not being an insider, has been obvious.

What's your connection to Battles recruitment?

Didn't Tyson Campbell have everyone still believing he would choose Miami on NSD. Did he ever throw Miami's name out of his final list? Didn't Dalvin Cook have Miami fans waiting to see if he would choose them. Local kids are going to say all the things that local beat writers want to hear to keep everyone happy.

I'm not an insider and Stefan is doing a great job and he definitely knows his stuff I'm just passing on some info that is all.

As much as I dislike Saban I don't think he'd put up with a problem like Zack Smith. Saban would not want to spend 5 minutes on this kind of crap. Anything that gets in his way and winning is not allowed. The day after NC wins he's chastising his staff to get onto the recruiting trail.

At least that is my impression.

If Saban has a past contradicting me, please let me know.

If you are not an insider, what possible information can you be "passing on?"

"Passing on" implies that you know something about this particular matter, that the rest of us are not privy to knowing. You are simply stating your opinion, an opinion that has no foundation or connection to Battle.

Not going to copy/paste it but Battle told 247's Luke Stampini (Gator writer who hates Miami) after the Dematha game that Miami is 2nd (behind Ohio St) in his recruitment right now. Basically echoes what Stefan/Matthew have reported.

But why believe that when we have non-insider @kperez4446 to pass along info

That's the one thing I give Saban credit for. He's not going down for a position coach. That man doesn't put anyone on staff that he's not willing to fire with the quickness.
