Latest on Battle

You're using this as your argument as to why you think a teenager you don't know or have even talked to might not come here? You may be right, but common sense is not a term that should be associated with recruiting.
Seems to me, after being here for a short while now, common sense has no place on these here boards!

You know better than to think he has a source...

Honestly our season starts Sunday and 17 year olds change their minds bi-hourly. If he is that butthurt about it peace out playa. It ain't that serious and kids expecting us to offer their freshmen years can **** off. That is absurd.

Actually according to 247 your timeline is completely off. OU offered on 1/20/18 followed by us on 2/16/18. OSU offered a week later on 2/23/18 and Bama has yet to officially offer. So is this all assumption on your part or are you claiming to be a inside source?

OSU offered before Miami that 247 info is incorrect. Bama offered recently and the Oklahoma offer in January was not official. When Jayden Davis got offered was around the time Battle got offered. Ohio State was in before everyone.

I'm too hyped for this season to be concerned over a recruit (right now)... with that being said, we need to land one of either Battle or Rique

He was Miami's for the taking but Diaz and Banda kept wanting to see more tape and other teams got into the fold and that's basically the summary. Its not a magical story actually pretty short and to the point.

If your info is correct why is not Bama not held to the same standards as us? I ask again are you making assumptions or are you claiming to be a source?

I agree with you 100%. It looks to me like Bama just comes in with their rings and offers at the last minute and they can forego offering early. Its upsetting and doesn't seem fair or rationale but it is what it is.

Gurvan Hall, Amari Carter, and possibly Frierson will make a nice safety tandem next year. All those kids can play if they can land Richards brother and get him to play safety that's a nice 2 deep right there.

For the record I don't think Battle signs with Ohio State either.

OOOOOOhhhhh!!!! A new "insider"? Gimme that sweet, sweet juice.

So Battle is ****ed at us for not offering early, and he'll express his displeasure by... signing with someone who offered later?

not an insider just don't want to get everyone excited about something that doesn't have legs. Battle would help Miami certainly next year but we already have some nice safeties on the current roster coming back we will be ok. If we can land Nunn or Richards and move them in to safety we will be just fine. I think Frierson has the potential to be a beast at safety as well.

Is there a reason to actually believe @kperez4446 ? The guy has a long history of trolling on here and lol at thinking he has a source.

I'll stick with the info Stefan and Matthew provide

Battle is an Oklahoma vs Bama battle. Ohio State not really in the game anymore. His parents may want him here at Miami but he doesn't want to play here. Miami is a distant fourth

at least with Tyrique Stevenson Miami is the clearcut #2 choice after UGA with Battle its not even that close.
LOL
