Last 4 games... What happens?

I'm afraid we are rolling with Morris until he re-injures himself to the point where he can actually play. These two games coming up are MUST WIN games for the the Costal. Win take them both and we coast into the ACCCG. Duke has Wake Forest and UNC left on their schedule (with UNC always being tough for Duke and its an away game) and VT has Maryland and Virginia left. I think we are VT last chance at a loss this year. Both of those teams have played horrible in conference play. I don't see that changing but a shocker would be nice. If we fall to anyone...it would have to be Duke and I think both teams have the potential for an upset. The rest of this season is going to be such a grind! I have a feeling we will have alot more cardiac moments in the coming weeks. Just win...I don't care how it looks.
What happens is that if we don't try a change at QB we will continue to get similar results, with the difference being that our luck (or determination, call it what you will) will run out and we end up on the short side of the clock and the scoreboard.

A change at QB for VT does not guarantee winning out either, but it would result in a more diversified, less predictable, offense--our walk on QB's can hand off to run the ball and throw the occasional bomb to an open #1,#3,#6 (maybe not as far).

Instead of the long bomb with the spectacular catch, it would be more of a get the first downs, pick up the 3rd and fives giving the opponents less clock time to put up big yards and scores. It would take about a half a game to learn if the back-up QB can deliver some consistency.

If he doesn't the QB that "gives us the best chance to win" will have enjoyed the advantage of watching defensive tendencies from the sidelines and can still deliver his usual single ten or twelve minutes of fair (spiced with the NFL throw) performance and 4Q confident come from behind winning score. Isn't that what the true believers hang their faith on?

If and when I'm wrong the posters with unshakeable belief in Morris can claim they were right all along--given time SM had greatness all along! And, Williams will have performed in a way that coaches need not waste more time on him and instead invest in developing a better successor to SM that would not be a sea anchor to their expected recruiting bonanza.

Just a thought. Or we could, instead of chancing the accusation to not be fans, just all post GO CANES!
