Last 4 games... What happens?

i predicted an 11-1 in season with our sole loss to FSU.

i think this team is different than the last few years. First, we are in better shape (mentally and physically) than any team in the last 5 or so years, which means we can win games in the fourth quarter without running out of energy or having a weak mentality. Second, we have recently won in the fourth quarter which provides confidence. And third, we have better coaching than we've had in a while, which means better preparing and generally better game day decisions.

for these reasons, i believe we will win out and meet fsu in charlotte in early december.

Does losing our best player on offense change your opinion or prediction at all?

great question. answer is no. it does not because the competition is not elite and therefore we dont have to play our best ball to win these games. UNC proved that and that game also proved that we can win without Duke. if we were playing top 25 teams, i might predict otherwise.

Our biggest test IMHO is Saturday because VT is the best of the four and we are still smarting from the FSU lost. If we get past VT, then the confidence rebuilds (especially since its VT) and we get momentum to win the last 3 games. If we lose to VT, then each game may be more difficult.

Yes on paper we should win the rest of our regular season games. But history has shown that we usually slip up against an opponent we should beat.

I'm hoping this is the year that changes

been saying that for 5 years at least

VT - Going to be a hard ******* game to win point blank. VT +7.5, Miami by 1
Duke - Tough game on the road, Over in points. They are playing to win the coastal. Miami by 3
Pittsburgh - No game will be easy the rest of the season, Pitt +7... Miami by 5
Virginia - Only game I see us winning by a TD.

:ibisroflmao:

We need Coley to get the most out of Morris and Co.... Jedd Fisch was able to manage putting up 30 against VT last year... ( yes i do realize we had some special teams and defensive help to get short fields, but still)

hey is morris still better than bridgewater? lmao

I called for 12-0 but i'm not upset. We lost to a great team on the road. Miami should finish off 11-1 and going to Charlotte.

3-1...........hoping 4-0. we are clearly better than all 4 but sometimes strange extraneous variables take over.

we lose the next by 4 by a combined 544 points.

Al Golden takes a bowl ban instead of 9 scholarships.

Then thurs nite GT Loses to Clemson (GT 5-3)

We beat Duke (UM 5-1) Everyone else has 3 losses plus we hold Tie breaker with all of them.

While I understand the logic in saying if we beat VPI, the game against Duke is the de facto ACC Coastal title game game, I still think Duke has a very good chance to lose when they go to Chapel Hill. UNC is playing a lot better now, they are 3-5, 2-3 after blowing out BC and beating NC State in Raleigh. They've got UVA, Pitt and Old Dominion before hosting Duke the last game of the year. UNC should be 6-5, 4-3 heading into the Duke game. How funny would it be if UNC finishes the season 7-5, 5-3. If that happens our last second win over them won't look as bad.

Either way, I'd obviously rather not have to count on UNC beating Duke in the last game of the year for us to back into the ACCG, but at this point, I'd take it anyway possible. But, first things first, beat VPI!!!
