Larry Scott new TE coach

from the fsu 247 board

Is this real?

What the ...

Hopefully we pull a Bama on him.

We are the better program how does this happen?

**** I hope Miami gets taken to pound time by the NCAA.

Good hire. He'll certainly pick up some of the recruiting slack left by Cristobal. Wish we could have got him.

for all you Cristobal haters :

"@TheStateOfTheU I wonder if Miami fans will blast Scott as a traitor who left his alma mater for a better offer. :-)"

Did Scott leave USF three weeks after starting there, for a lateral opportunity?

Cristobol deserves what is directed at him.

I like the hire a lot.

Responsible for USF bringing in a ton of Florida kids...Senat, Robbins, Tice, Andre Davis, Kayvon Webster, Sterling Griffin, George Baker.

When USF recruited South Florida, they put Larry Scott on him.

Well good luck to him with that, then. Hopefully he finds it was worth it, because he's no longer part of the family.

More of fsu crying about this.

Jimbo has decided he doesnt really need assistant coaches! He can do it all hiimslf!!!

This is getting pathetic

Jimbo got his *** kicked here.

Very good hire and thought I try not to read too much into it, but **** it is hard not to, that is 3 great hires from a recruiting standpoint, including Cristobal at the time. All 3 we were going head to head against FSU and one we took from them who was already on staff. All this with this NCAA bs cloud hanging over. Now that is a subject that must have been discussed with these coaches, and apparently the message had to have been good enough for these coaches to choose us, plus the opportunity to work for a really well respected coach amongst the coaching circles in Al Magnus Golden. I have to believe that internally the program and administration feel good regarding the ncaa mess, or these guys would not have come, especially Coley. Either way from a recruiting standpoint very good hire.

Also with Cristobal, I understand it sucks him going, but also I understand him taking the job 3 times the pay and working for the top program in the country. And if it's true what my buddy was told, Cristobal went back to UM and gave them a chance to match the offer. If it is true that he did that, then he did do at least from that end the right thing of giving UM a chance to match the offer, and again 3 times the money you are making is a lot to pass up especially considering the program he was going to. His only responsibility is to put his and his family's career and income potential in the best possible situation. As a UM fan it sucks and we don't like it, but as a father and a man, I doubt anybody here would not have done what he did, and would also be fair enough to at least have the U to match the offer.

nice pick up for you Cane's Jimbo is an idiot for not getting Scott but that is what I expect out of him

It's not that he's an idiot. I mean, he wanted scott. He tried to get scott. It wasnt lack of intellect that cost him scott. It's just that jimbo's an ******* and no one wants to work for him.

Jimbo should hire Cristoball to be his OC, ad give him full play calling responsibility.

Yup, he will be a successful and wealthy traitor....but def a traitor, especially when you know that communist that will be trying to pluck our best talent from our backyard.
