LaQuon Treadwell reaches out to miami

Why do people always talk **** about "vacation visits." They aren't raising game tickets to cover the kids trips. So why complain if you feel the kid isn't truly interested?

The main goal of recruiting is to get a kid to take a visit, interested or not interested. Anything can happen after that. Miami has been able to pull top out of state recruits because they come down to the u and see a world class city, hot ****, warm weather, beautiful private school campus, and 5 national championships.

How many time in business do you take prospective clients to an expensive meal or entertainment just so you can give them a sales pitch knowing that most are just there for filet mignon? It's the same thing. Numbers game. The more who visit, the better shot you have at landing one.

Furthermore, after golden success last year, why are you not pumped? Golden can flip someone like bunk Moreland.

It can have a negative effect. These aren't one on one visits. They are around other commits and recruits and can possibly get in the ear about another school, or can just not take the visit serious. John Jenkins and Ray Drew basically sold each other on going to Georgia while visiting Miami together.

I agree on taking reaches, but you have to coordinate these visits carefully with other recruits.

we got smart coaches. if they think this kid is game playing then he won't get a plane ticket. and if he does come and starts ******* around with other recruits then the visit will get cut short, no?

People keep saying Miami has been able to bring in 5 stars for last minute visits and turn them, can anyone provide examples please?

Arthur Brown remember he was a EE so he had to decide early but he got on to him very late , Andrew Johnson rb from PA big bust... Dwayne Hendricks out of NJ visiyed Miami right before signing day..

Golden has struck out big time in this department. He may be due for a biggie.

What?

Don't feed the trolls, Lu. They get all wet when you give them attention, and then multiply like gremlins.

He's struck out on on big time, out of state recruits that have visited in Dec. Jan.

Now you need to compare this to every other coach in the country and see the success rate.

I'll wait.

Just saying that he's due to for a hit. I have Grimble and now Beau as his late visit scores who are 4star+ OOS kids.

No you said he had missed a lot.

Saying that he missed a lot implies that there are those who have had better success rates with OOS kids. But then again, you would have to have the statistical data to support such a theory wouldn't you?

I assume you have that data. Why don't you share it with us?

The number of 4 and 5 star players are, by definition, extremely limited. The number of them we bring in is even smaller. The number of those of which we have a realistic shot...

...well, you get the point.
