Lance Guidry

Impressive effort, our DBs vs. FSU WRs is a huge mismatch on paper and we had a respectable outing.

If we ever have a real explosive offense then Guidry won't be holding us back.

A god**** savage. I don’t want to hear no excuse that we lost him to not paying up enough. Pay his *** everything.

If it wasn’t for him, we lose by 30. This offense handicaps itself MariBro style. It’s a god**** crime what we’re doing on that side of the ball while he coaches his f^cking *** off. Hats off to Guidry and the defense, they played their absolute hearts out.
Don't leave after this season Guidry please. We love you man.

Keeper…thank God for the Cajun. Love his attitude and demeanor. Kids play for him.
That’s a big difference imo. You see how animated he got on that crucial 3rd down stop. Kids feed off that, they play for him. He changes looks. He schemes up different packages. Everyone is constantly moving and creating chaos.

Mario is circled up clutching his biddies, sweating profusely and grinding his teeth hoping the 50th inside zone read of the night works .

He is a beast. It should be easier to scheme things on Offense with low talent but that doesn't seem to be true for us . Pay this man

Just watched Kevin Johns drop 45 on Duke with a backup QB lol.

Mario makes it 1000x harder than it needs to be, which in turn makes it 1000x more frustrating to watch and try to rationalize as a fan.

Impressive display of smoke and mirrors throughout the day. Happy he identified Travis is a drifter and repeatedly created inside pressure. In a lot of different ways. Tip of the cap.

Who knows if he can sustain that for the remainder of the year, but he’s had a few great games, and I appreciate someone who errs on the side of aggression.

Even if LSU comes calling him home I hope AD Rad pulls him to the side lets him know regardless what happens to Mario we are making him a priority into the future💯‼️

With rumors swirling that Guidry could be a candidate for other D.C. jobs, CaneSport has learned that UM has rewarded Guidry for the job he did with the team’s defense in his first year with the program by reworking his contract. Guidry, who arrived at Miami after two years as Marshall’s coordinator, is receiving a three-year extension that includes a significant raise. The contract is designed to keep him at Miami for at least those next three seasons.

Canes improved from No. 64 in the nation in total defense in 2022 (376.6 yards allowed per game) to No. 24 this year (321.6 yards), from No. 54 in rush defense (142.9) to No. 11 (105.6), from No. 102 in pass efficiency defense to No. 33, from No. 66 in scoring defense (26.8 points allowed) to No. 42 (22.8 points), and from No. 97 in third down defense to No. 37.
