Lagway NIL deal

Good, cost: performance is the main reason I preferred Mendoza. But the less we gave Beck to come here, it just makes it clear it was our best option by far...

But why are you worried about the money that our millionaire/billionaire boosters spend? We are not going to "not sign a WR or CB" because we spent a bit more on a QB.

Yeah you're probably right. The discussion was over the 2.5 mil we apparently paid Beck and he said we're just overpaying players so I was looking for a Lagway number for reference but couldn't find one.
Florida overpaid for a bunch of players this recruiting cycle.

Maybe it won't make a difference for an individual player or two, but I absolutely believe it makes a difference as a whole. Idc what anyone says there is a major difference to the quality of surrounding talent you can acquire when you're spending $2M on a QB instead of $4M. Period. Just logically say we lose a good player cause they wanted $50k more. Say that happens 5 times. All that **** does add up.

There is also just plainly no valid argument why it wouldn't be in our interest for him to have come here for less money....

Mendoza once he got butt hurt asked for 300k MORE than we gave Beck. Cause heaven forbid we look out for best interest of the program and explore multiple options. He saw we prioritized mateer and that possibility than his agent told him what we offered and how much more it was than we agreed with him towards. Turned around and backed out of that initial agreement and asked for same thing we offered matteer... I might've been more intrigued by Mendoza than beck. But all things considered I'm good.
