Seems to be a trend to allow QBs like Gabriel, Kurtis Rourke, Penix, Daniels, Travis, and Bo Nix to play 5-7 years. Even Cam played 5 years. I wouldn’t be surprised to see McCord get another granted by the NCAA

Those other quarterbacks were all enrolled for the 2020 season. Everyone that played in 2020 got a free pass. That season did not count against eligibility. McCord didn’t enroll until the 2021 season. He didn’t redshirt and has used his four seasons of eligibility. He’s essentially trying to do what Tualia Tagovailoa tried last year. Saying he barely crossed the four game threshold for a redshirt season but the NCAA has already shot that plan down. It’s unlikely a court would change their mind.

Hope he doesn't get a **** thing. F*** him and his coach too.

If he were to get it, Taulia Tagovailoa should sue the NCAA for missed NIL opportunity this past season since he was denied the waiver.

Would love to see NCAA deny McCord’s request and then go camera and say “Coach Mario, we got McCord out, congrats!” or something like that.

Hope we don’t see the opposite of this.

What I don't get is how these so called college kids don't comprehend basic rules. They break them by a little and then cry when they get a consequence.
Usually it’s not the player’s decision to come into a game that might burn your redshirt. Most coaches are aware of these things and do their best to maintain redshirt status. Nick Saban didn’t . He inserted a true freshman quarterback into a blowout game to take a handful of snaps while burning his redshirt. You going to tell your coach “No” when he tells you to grab your helmet?
