This has to be the most homer statement I've ever seen. Even the mighty Duke would have been stuffed the way they were crowding the box in the bowl game. If we couldn't stretch the field then, we wouldn't have done it with Duke. Did you even get there game plan???

They lost the QB who torched us, lost a coach who really fit that team, lost most there front 7 AND are switching to a 3-4. It's not going to be the same Louisville team we saw in the bowl game.

We HAD a terrible defense, we dont know how the D will preform this coming season. They lost pieces that were fundamental to the success of the program last season. The QB we need to make up for isnt nearly as talented. At best that's a wash, were both breaking in new QBs. We are bringing back our coaching staff, bringing back a majority of our players on both sides of the ball, and have SIGNIFICANTLY improved the depth of talent on the team. Continuity is important in football, and thats something we have a BIG advantage in.

If the line would have been playing the same way of course. But how many changes you going to wish for in that game? Lets add our Dline actually got penetration and had Teddy B running for his life... The team was flat. That was the worst performance from the oline all year. You can't wish that away. Duke would have been stuffed running behind that.

He put up 100 yards because we were getting blown out. Lots of his yardage was on 3rd and 14 plays. (we were 3rd and long the entire year)

Game was over 1 minute into the second half. He also got hurt getting stuffed behind the LOS on 4th and short, down by 3 TDs.

The way UL came at us, (looking like 80's and 90's Canes teams, looking to hurt), Duke would have been knocked out of the game before halftime.


I consider Petrino way better than Bagman Strong. Strong PWNed Golden. Petrino will do far worse.

With all that speed at DE/LB , there shoudnt be any excuse on why the qb isnt picking himself up off the ground every time he drops back to pass the **** ball. We should run a 4 3 move chick inside , play Chad and MCcord /Quan at DE. Please dont run that bend but dont break ***** D again this year.

3 years of steady improvement in the win column and improvements in the roster. Louisville could very easily beat us, but this idea that were going to lose because of last season or petrino being some football god is just wrong. Our roster is better then last season, there's is worse. We return our best players(Duke, Coley, Howard), they lost there best players(Bridgewater, Pryor). Our coaching staff comes back, there's does not. None of those things are opinion, they are all fact that favors Miami.

lets hope Golden learned football is not about community service and playing hopscotch with local kids before the game.

the team needs to understand that they get embarrassed on national TV. They are using our name to make a name for themselves and we simply can not allow it.
The coaches need to be smarter then they were last year and understand our weaknesses and have a plan for it.. not just throw them out there and blame talent.


I HATE HATE Arkansas and fat Bilma.. but even him knowing that his team sucks ****.. will get creative and he rather get blown out and have a chance to win vs lose but by not so much.

Look what Auburn did vs FSU.. they HAD that game.. and they went after Winston ... almost every single play.

our QB is going to be questionable so get those Oline read to give Duke some running room...tell our DB's keep their #1 receiver in check and remind Artie Burns that he needs to make sure he does not let what happened to him on national tv happen again!


Tell AQM to stop hitting the beach and start preparing his boy for this game...I promise you.. if we play hard every single down.. regardless of our QB situation or who they have.. we will win this game.. we have to be in tip top shape and not get tired half way through the game.

Petrino beat him 70-7! Just think about that for moment. I am praying D'onofrio has an out of body type coaching performance in our 1st game.

I'm sorry, I get the point of your post and everything but being a UC fan too this cannot be further from the truth. That was Dantonio's first year taking over a garbage roster from the previous coach. He didn't do anything until his guys were Juniors and then the defense showed up. Louisville lost 1 game that year and UC went like .500 so that is not a comparison. I don't post much but I couldn't let that slide.
