Bottom line is this is how the situation should have been handled in the first place. I was shocked it wasn't with family and DK but with him and his coach when they first asked for the commit.

We want Kirkland. He had an offer. We pulled it because he wasn't ready to commit and we can't be left standing at the alter. If he's ready to commit now, then you take him.
