I guess when I said the word fishy I meant the only school that worries me by popping up out of nowhere.

Oh, got it. Yeah, we definitely need to keep an eye on schools in Texas and Los Angeles when it comes to NIL money and suddenly shooting into every recruit's Top 5. High-grade sushi in Cali...

TVD is an important selling point with Coleman. He knows he can step in and produce if he takes care of business.
I don't doubt that, but I always find that weird.

Shouldn't recruits' bigger selling point(s) be the QBs they're more likely to play with in their 2nd and 3rd years? In that way, we have as solid an option as anyone in the country. Garcia has already given glimpses he can play well at the college level and will likely be the QB affecting Coleman's future draft stock.

Recruits especially WRs come in with the mindset that they will start right away.

I agree though you should really be looking at who the Qb will be in 3 years (oline as well).

We talking about 16-18 year olds, lol.. We cant expect them to have foresight like that, buddy has been gassed up since a youngin, he think he will come in immediately.. Thats why its valuable to have adults who understand these things around you but most lack those things.. Cant look at things for your own adult perspective.. These dudes think they can play in NFL right now! lol

D is a star *****, he justifies his rankings by the stars next to the name and who’s recruiting them. And to be fair he’d be right a lot more than he’s wrong with that strategy.

I’m sure there’s some crazy takes by me out there on Pope too, but once he arrived I was as hard as anyone on him. I knew we’d struck out with him. I actually ****ed folks off when I said this.

He was super tiny, he looked fragile. He also played very stiff snd had horrible hands. The key area that stuck me was his production in HS, that’s a red flag with me when I evaluate kids. He was the definition of a seven on seven superstar.

He also had other issues that I won’t go into detail on. That was as much of a problem as his physical issues.
It’s tough when you don’t get to see the players in person in pads

I thought Pope looked really good. Smooth. Sneaky fast.

But the first time I saw him on the field I’m like holy **** he looks like a child. Which isn’t necessarily the end of the world if you’re crazy fast and explosive

But anyway enough about Pope I suppose

I was dead set on Alex Gall being a star here so what do I know…

True. I understand why it happens. Just doesn’t make sense to me, even if I put myself in his shoes. Even if he comes in early, he’s gotta play minimum 2 more years. Anyway, I get it. They’re kids. That’s why we see what we see.

****…why you gotta do Dwins like that? Brutal! From the top rope with King Kong Bundy.

I was one of the few on CiS that thought Elijah Moore was the must get for us in that class. Since the get go when @Coach Macho posted his Western highlights, I was a huge fan. Many on here were not that high on him, but I said repeatedly that he was my favorite receiver that year.

…and yes, you can check the threads on him if you like to verify what I said back then. It’s a shame that he ended up at Ole Miss.
