2025 Kellen Wiley Jr, LB/ATH - Armwood HS (Tampa, FL) offered

Anyone able to read this

Doesn't even seem like Texas lol

“I am trying to get it down to three schools before Tuesday, then make my decision,” Wiley told On3. “Maryland is really high on my list. Texas is up there too. You have Florida and Miami up there as well. It is four schools now, but I am getting it down to a final three, then announce my decision on Wednesday.”

Visiting FSU unofficially this weekend. Odd
This is all you need to know. It's not about what school will give him the best education. Or what school will develop him for the next level. It's about $$$.

It will work out for some kids and not others.

we pay kids well too to get them here. its always going to be about money.
I'm not arguing here I'm just stating a fact. NIL has made it all about how much can these kids get their families now. It's a smart plan just in case they don't get into the NFL.

most will not make the pros. you get what you can money wise and education wise, its the same regardless of where they end up short of going to a specific school for a specific program (think Stanford overall, GT for STEM, etc.). miami isnt elite in academics at any specific program.

I think the most shocking part is he's announcing on Wednesday. Did he ever even OV here??

What’s the hit rate on 5 stars? 50 percent?
it’s gambling by millionaires. Have to figure that some of this money is coming from agents.

Spending 30-40k on a few player prior to NIL was nothing and they can afford to miss.
Notice how all these flips and potential flips are happening when more film is available or when counter offers have to be rushed and no visits are available.

Spend a few million on several players knowing that 50 percent of the dudes you signed will more than cover your loses.

It’s venture capitalism but for sports

Miami has a highly regarded music and marine biology programs. Not saying they are Stanford but saying they don’t any good academic programs is false.

Mario told this kid no to an OV before ESD and the kid wants to sign on ESD. Only to lose to ******* Syracuse. Is that really what just happened?
And didn't he postpone Wiley's visit because he was so focused on Syracuse?

That didn't turn out well.

I belive part of the reason that most ignore is the ɓecause of his high school game he would only have been here for a day and would not have gotten the full OV experience.
Whether that's the truth or not I don't know but it was part of the explanation.
