he been playing football all his life . not a late bloomer just played at hillsborough . he has been good since he was 6-7 years old he played running back and linebacker back then . he got really tall at the beginning of last summer . he went from 6'0 -6'4 in like a month. but he has been a monster since little league
I saw the same thing happen with a young man I’ve known since he was 7 years old; Kyle Hamilton. He was always a good player but he grew from 6 feet to 6’4” over one Summer and went from a 2-3 star to 5 star. I hope your son enjoys a similar level of success, and we all hope that UM is the right place for him and your family.

He’s the type of young man that becomes a high round draft pick - not the same player but someone like a Greg Rousseau who has incredible physical traits, overlooked a tad, and is hard worker and comes in and crushes it.

After watching his film he’d be nasty to have!!!

Losing at least 3 after this year (Kiko, Chase, Alderman, plus always potential portal defection) so I'm good with them taking 1 more personally.
I worded my statement wrong. We are after 4 player from Armwood. But we have 3 three linebackers committed plus we are after two now. Do you think we drop anyone?

Wonder if later growth spurts can really benefit some player, because they should already kinda be pretty coordinated with better overall movement skills, and then you snap your fingers and put that in a bigger body. Sure you lose a little as a 6'5" dude generally isn't going to be capable of moving the same as a 6'0" dude and it'll likely take some time getting used to the differences, but you kinda carry a lot of that ability over still, I'd bet.

Kinda like if you grew up playing WR then moved to CB you might just have "naturally" (really through previous work put in) better hands than average DB because of that previous experience. Or a guy that started off as a QB then moved to WR is often more 'qb friendly' and better at IDing zones, etc.

It definitely benefitted Kyle because he kept the movement of a 6 feet tall player who then was taller and longer.
Anthony Davis had a similar experience in basketball. He developed his skills as a guard, grew late but had those skills that he likely would not have developed had he been tall early and forced to play inside.
