Keith Bryant Struggling

Keith Bryant will never crack that rotation. FSU not only has the depth but they are recruiting pretty **** well at that position.

and Cane fans we should not be happy about this...

I agree. Although Bryant is only a RS Frosh, FSU is still bringing in 4 and 5 star defensive linemen every recruiting cycle. If Bryant's not working to crack the rotation, then Jimbo doesn't strike me as the type of guy that's going to let you play just because you've been on the team for a while.

I said this during his recruitment - guys who flip flop and troll and play the signing day hat game almost never amount to much in college. Not surprised if he's a complete flame out.

Keef was the tool bag that went to FAU to troll them and act like a fool and was sent home for obviously being there to just goof off and mock them.

Kid was a d*ck that let all the bullsh*t go to his head and lost sight of the fact that its all fleeting 15 seconds of B.S. Our staff knew for a while he was a lost cause. I remember when he was here on his OV several of the other guys on the visit saying that Keef was on his own most of the time, and that the staff really wasn't paying much attention to him. I think they knew his game and that he was going to do what he was going to do.

Kid's a punk *** troll. Hope he enjoys his time in Tally because he isn't going anywhere after that.

He was one of my least favorite recruits. Am not shocked by any means that he is "struggling" as his recruiting process antics didn't quite define an all out work ethic. He seems like the type of kid who is content with being a towel waver on a good team (which he is) compared to having to and wanting to work on an average team like Miami. Would be lying if I didn't admit that this news brings a smirk to my face

Like I've said on the recruiting board over the past 3 years, the process typically reveals a lot about the player. There may be some exceptions on both sides, but more often than not, the character traits track accordingly. This guy may become a player because he has some necessary attributes. He'll obviously need a change in some of his character issues and that's more difficult to evolve than the physical side.

Bad character is much easier to overcome than a lack of talent.

I'm not sure exactly how you mean that (I'm not saying a guy without talent, but good character is more likely to succeed), but it's tough to max out talent when you can't get players to work, listen and improve themselves (not to mention in the context of a team). Just ask nearly every Miami Hurricane squad from 2004 to 2010. Lots of talented players who fell off the face of the earth or simply didn't max out their potential here.

is he struggling or is FSU so stacked at DT that they have 4 stars at 4th string

He's been passed by true freshmens, so he's struggling despite what the guys who love everyone we didn't sign (and hate everyone we did sign) want you to believe.

Cook is 3rd string behind Mario Pender and Karlos Williams but he will get some carries

Lane and Rudolph have had good summer and fall camps and will be in the wideout rotation

I remember someone here posted your guys chart. Remember seeing Lane and Rudolph second string behind two seniors you guys have who haven't stepped up yet. So I chalked it up to both of them joining the lineup with Greene eventually to replace Benjamin and Shaw for you guys.

I expect Cook to be your #2 soon. No offense to Pender.

That cook miss will haunt us, dude is like 2 devonte Freeman's in one body. He will get to the edge on us, I'm hoping he's a bust.

He looked like *** in the all star game during the 1st half. 2nd half was a little better but average. He's a really fast 1 cut back. I guess it's all in what you like your back to do. I'd take a Duke type back over a Lamar Miller type back all day, but that's just me.

Woooo boy you better watch out. I made the same observation last year and was crucified as a Golden apologist. Cook was a bionic cyborg constructed in a lab from the DNA of Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Adrian Peterson, Edge, Emmitt Smith, and Barry Sanders.

Personally, I saw a very fast one cut back. Definitely elite speed, and COULD develop into an absolute beast, but he couldn't hold Yearby's jock strap when it came to field vision, and cut backs, and using his feet.

I would gladly have had Cook, but I didn't get the unreal slurping of the guy as the superstar cant miss of the century, especially not the way people shrugged off having Yearby.

Cook was a perfect compliment to Yearby. I will be interested to see how he does when he has to carry an offense more by himself.

Like Lane and a few others, people take what Pete says and just run with it rather than making their own judgements. Cook is a freak athletically but Yearby is better than him in a few areas as well. People get all ******* crazy with comparisons but it's a little like Karlos Williams and Duke. Williams the better athlete and superstar potential, Duke with the intangibles.
