Keion Payne

What a DB class it was: Keion Payne, Jeremy Davis, D'vonta Davis, Latwan Anderson, Kacy Rodgers

Honestly that is pathetic. BTW, 12 kids from the 2010 class either never made it in or are off the team. Go RANDY!

But but but but, he's a fantastic recruiter and recruits can relate to him.

Smoking weed does not make players lazy. If you are lazy you are lazy, period. Weed has no impact.

Some of the greatest players and hardest workers in this team's history have been weed smokers. Difference is when they weren't smoking they were working their asses off.

I've been calling this for a long time now. Payne is the second to last holdover of the Cancer Crew (led by Storm Johnson and Travis Williams who have already been shytecanned from the team). Unfortunately for us, Seantrell is the last one of the crew and for the sake of our offense and OL, I hope he has turned it around for real. The recent reports are encouraging.

Some people had their heads stuck in the sand regarding our CBs. You know who you are. lol. Golden didnt recruit 7+ ***king CBs for shi** and giggles. And he didnt recruit them to field a 11 man CB depth chart. lmao. The recruits were a massive warning shot to ALL of the current CBs on the roster - either step up or get gone. And anyone that thinks Brandon McGee isnt on thin ice because he has "experience" or "great speed" is thinking dumb. The recruiting haul of 7+ CBs, the shytecanning of Payne, and Golden's very public criticism of McGee represent Golden's final warnings for him to step up. Will Brandon step up finally? Or will we be thanking for his services and "asking" him to graduate come August???

Whats your prediction for McGee?

Depends on how well the new kids step up. I dont think Golden is afraid to deal with the headaches of playing true FR if they show flashes.

I think 60% McGee is asked to graduate or transfer come August.

ETA: And i will have no problem admitting that i was wrong and coming on here to eat crow if McGee turns into a stud in his last year.

McGee never redshirted so unless he can finish in 3 year the former isn't happening.

Worst CB I've ever seen practice. Really WOAT. We passed on Cody Riggs for this bum. Peace ninja. Go to FIU where you belong

Wow. Somebody kill that guy. He single handedly tried to murder this program

McGee started every game last year. No way Golden gives him the boot unless he does something stupid. Will you stop with that nonsense already?

I'm gonna say the same thing I said a few months back on this board....Payne was a classic Randy Shannon recruiting special. A guy who doesn't have anywhere near the talent to play at a big time university. I know it's only one play and I'm honestly not a knee jerk guy but that ridiculously embarrassing play vs FSU was just a mockery. I saw everything I needed to know about that kids' football instincts on that play...and that's just something that doesn't get better with time, you either have it or you don't.

I think I know the play you are referring to and it was Kacy Rodgers that you are thinking of. Is it the play against FSU where Manuel lofts one into right corner of the endzone close to the goal line and Rodgers(the safety coming over to help) froze and made no attempt to make a play on the ball resulting in a TD?

so does ROdgers gets the boot with payne? I hope so.... I don't know how that kid got a schollie in the 1st place. I think our sorry *** db coach under shannon knew the kid's father.

Rodgers is a backup safety along with Swasey. No way he gets a boot even though that play against FSU was so WOAT he should have been cut right there. VT told me it was his fault...he was on the SL and should have been in the game.

But but but Payne was the best DB that came out of STA that year. Some of our own swore up and down that Payne was not only better than Riggs, but better than Joyner.
