EvALs bRoooooHighsmith tried to say he was the next Isaiah Simmons lol
This primarily happens here. If this kid was hurried at UGA his dad wouldn’t make a peep. But bc we had 7 wins his dad wants to run his mouth. Why do parents act like that? Such drama queens
Is that a pause or not a pause inference? To be fair Venebles wants a lot of guys
Roberts was/is a high character kid and also went down a level in competition. If a kid is a baller, it will show. RARELY does it show afterwards. People will point to Elijah Roberts but he even flashed in games where we knew he would be missed. We didn’t see top 100 cfb player but we knew he had legit talent. This kid didn’t even fight.
Parent in portal: Hey coaches my son is available and I come with package and we have no mirrors to look into ...Why do parents act like that? Such drama queens
I’m old enough to remember when Spencer was considered a big flip from OU.
I’m old enough to remember when Spencer was the caliber of athlete to play the Sam, Striker, & Nickel positions, & was lining up at said positions THIS Spring.
Do u remember? I remember (in my Michael Jackson “Remember The Time” voice).
Highsmith been over rated on the board for ages in terms of evaluating, never got hyped for the hire ever and was glad he skated.EvALs bRooooo

I just mean it in terms of like years begging for him (i am exaggerating) to get a job here. I look forward to the HC doing evals like a Harbaugh Saban Kirby types, I feel like when the HC are good at evaluating and replacing misses with better evals than u on the right path. I wouldn't want someone over my shoulder telling me how to evaluate if I am already good at it. But thats just meI'm not in agreement on that one. He may not have been perfect on all positions, but he also can't control injuries and mental health issues.
And some of the push-outs are "NIL salary cap issues". Guys who would have hung around and developed more if it was the 1980s.
Maybe, in that regard, Highsmith needed to shift the way that he rated guys. I think he was looking for some long-term traits, not necessarily immediate impact.
Most all of our guys seem to land somewhere decent.
That's cos the Athens PD would bury him in the woods. This primarily happens here. If this kid was hurried at UGA his dad wouldn’t make a peep. But bc we had 7 wins his dad wants to run his mouth.
Like I said earlier the kid never really gave it a chance. 1 year is nothing.
