Kaaya gone

I believe the post about that he and Richt didn't click, their playcalling chemistry certainly didn't. Also believe he got the "not a first or second rounder" recommendation or else we would have heard about it. Really a disappointing and bizarre decision.

Word from some people I know who are friends with him said he didn't have a great relationship with Richt. They said Richt was hard on him and blamed him for a lot of the offense's problems. One friend even told me Kaaya had allegedly stated, "I'd rather get drafted in the 7th round or sign as a free agent then play under Richt again". To top it off, Kaaya had given that friend his new cell phone number because he was getting a new phone for after the draft. This was like 3 or 4 days ago.
Wouldn't shock me if there was some truth to this but I'd love to hear if Pete has any insight into Kaaya and Richt's relationship.

And Richt was wrong, too?

It's clear Richt wasn't feeling Brad, but credit to him, bc not ONCE did he throw Kaaya under the bus publicly this entire season, not ONCE did he waver in playing Brad, and not ONCE did he pull the kid. If Richt exposed Kaaya's weaknesses and Kaaya felt some kind of way about it, then good luck with your pro career my bro.

I often wondered if this was the case. Good thing there is less scrutinty from coaches and the media at the next level.

You can tell Kaaya doesn't like real coaching that challenges you on the things that's holding you back. Remember he did say how he doesn't likebeing yelled at which explains why he's never overcome his flaws bc the previous staff had to baby him.

If that's true, which I doubt, it would prove that Kaaya is incompetent. He had his best season by far under Roht.

One of the negative scouts are mentioning about him at the next level is his lack of leadership. Even though this story hasn't been confirmed, it sounds believable to most of us who follow the team which is quite telling.

Nevermind the coaches being hard at him the next level -- how's he going to react when his star Receiver calls him out in the locker room or huddle for not getting him the ball enough?

Do you draft Kaaya in a Tom Brady-like draft position or wait for Sam Darnold to come out next year, (RS Soph) believing he will have a similar season next year and you can move up?

I believe this.

Gundy has his QB coming back to Oklahoma State.
Smart has Chubb AND Michel coming back to UGA
Leach has Falk going back to Washington State
Stoops has Mayfield coming back (for now)

If Kaaya was clicking with Richt, he'd trust him to further develop him.

What a complete and utter *****. It doesn't surprise me one bit though.....he has to be one of the most mentally soft players I've ever had to cheer for in my life. Kaaya lost his safety blanket in Coley and couldn't deal. He should respond well to NFL coaching....lol.

Looks like I'm late to the party...but it's time for a change, this is how we get over that **** hump we can't seem to get over. We need a killer running the offense!

listen to some of the joe rose interiews, richt inherited him but the guy is a qb guru. he developed how many all acc and sec qb's? he was sitting there with a weak minded kid who floats the ball, cant make a second read, has no feel for the game, etc. if kaaya was as great as some think, he would have been starting for USC in the orange bowl today.

I'm indifferent on Kaaya on leaving. It'd be nice to see him finally beat FSU. But Cribby said it the best, he is what he is now. I'm glad to see him leave Miami better than what it was when he got here. He finally got his marque win (albeit a fluke 10-win WVU team) and ended the winless bowl streak. But I don't think he was going to be the guy that was going to get us to the next level and I don't know if he was ever going to beat FSU.

I think Richt's fine with him leaving given that he wants someone who's just a bit more mobile. Rosier may not have the highest ceiling, but he's serviceable. I think the race comes down to Allison and Rosier quite honestly. Perry needs a red-shirt more than anything right now. Unless he can put on 20 pounds in the offseason.

Maybe he thinks the Pat's will take him because he fits Tom Brady's college scouting report to a "T."

"Poor build. Very skinny and narrow; still looks like a rail at 215. Looks a little frail and lacks great physical stature and strength. Can get pushed down more easily than you'd like. Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush. Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral."

Just keep running like he is in prod_1101.gif during the combine like Brady and Bill will be begging Kraft to take Brad.

Kaaya is no longer the QB here, so time to move on. I am excited for the future and what the current guys and ones coming in have to offer.

exactly. 17' we develop a qb and in 2018 we make our playoff push when the depth is where it should be

If this is true, Brad is SOFT.
