Look I'm not saying this kid can't play he could play ima give him that but you guys are making it seem like its just disrespectful of the staff by not offering this kid.. but ima look at his SO. and Jr highlights right now and ima get back with you.

I don't think hes a miss by the staff I don't see anything special.... hes a little on the small side I didn't see him take on or shed any blocks plus the video looks speeded up.. but the kid could definitely play tho but I think you guys are going a little overboard with it.

I an era of spread set, speed option read systems, fast LB's you would think would be a priority. Even Bama struggles mightily with spread set teams. Why on football earth would this idiot coach not be after a speed LB'er like this kid? This idiot's whole philosophy about all things college football is just dumb and dumber! Watch how fast the next coach brings us back! Other coaches must find our Idiot coach hilarious when he is in the best talent area for college football talent.

I didn't even see where that kid is from he can flat out fly and these our the type of kids we should be going after instead of bulky slow kids

now I see why we didn't offer him yet he has way to many offers, it laughable how dumb AG and his puppets are. He looks like Grace and MT type LB

If you can't see it...

I don't know what to tell you.

Kid has been known around Broward County since his Sophomore year. He had 8 sacks in his first 2 games that season. He separated his shoulder and missed half of the year. Shoot, this season he had over 10 sacks playing INSIDE LINEBACKER for crying out loud. All the kid does is make plays.

He's been the most explosive player on the field in every game he's played since 9th grade. (I should know, I've seen them all)

Yeah I'll take him put 20 pounds on that boy and he good to go.. if the berry kid goes to KSU then I say take him I like the NJ linebacker.. if Miami offer him on NSD would he sign?

He looks and plays fast... I'm not sure he is truly 6'1" / 205#... He looks real small? Looks more like a safety?

At this point?

**** no.

Why? He's got a TCU offer. He'd be a fool to choose Miami over them at this point.

While I understand what you're saying here, this is the pervasive viewpoint that we need to change. Why? Because this area is his home and not TCU. Why? Because he could bring back a program he's been around his whole life. Why? Because we need leaders here and the U gets you to the NFL.

I know all the reasons why not, but if record and current standing was all players used to make their decisions, we wouldn't sign a soul.

You really expect a kid who's been ignored for 2+ years to feel that way about his local school?

All that "my home school" mumbo jumbo doesn't always fly. You're talking about a kid's career, where he's gonna spend the next 4 years of his life. For some people it's a business decision.

Why would a kid hold onto any loyalty for a school that has ignored him for 2+ years?
A school where the football program is in disarray?
A school that hasn't shown the ability to develop a kid like him or use his skill set properly?

I get what you're saying...but you have to realize...all while Miami was ignoring him, he was being shown love from OSU, Nebraska and TCU. When a school like Miami hops into the picture out of nowhere they have a lot of catching up to do. A kid really has to love Miami to sway his decision at that point.

Did he not come to a few UM games on unofficial visits like the hundreds of other are kids over the last 3 years. Has he not visited campus for UM BBQ's. I m sure he has had some UM contact just not an offer which I think is crazy Because the kid cn play.

Go Canes

What bothers me is that we're going out of state for guys like Brightwell and Barry. Good players, but Talan is another level of twitch and play speed.

He's a mini-Ryan Shazier.

Best offers are from Nebraska, Oregon State, and TCU.
How does a talent like this go unnoticed by so many teams tho?

TCU is one of the top teams and defenses in the country. Talan is exactly the kind of fast, versatile, aggressive player they like.

Kids slip through the cracks all the time. Lavonte David ended up at Nebraska, which is where it sounds like Talan will land.

IMO, teams missed the Talan evaluation in 2013 because he is a small player who mostly rushed the passer , similar to Shazier at Plantation or Gabe Terry at Palm Beach Central. It just made more sense to have him get after the quarterback because he is so good at it. But he's athletic enough to play different roles, as he showed this year.

I hope we offer Talan then. Hopefully, Fenton as well. Always appreciate your 411, thanks.

The thought process of the south florida coaches.....^^^

This is what they telll the kids and were looking around when they dont sign....

Macho my boi..but this is the thought process of sfla coaches....You got a tcu offer, why go to Miami?....Now realistically id ont care how many games theyve won recently...TCU aint sh*t compared to miami..and their *** aint sending more kids to the nfl than our sorry *** 6-7 team...so why go out there to bumf8ck because their the flvor of the month instead of rebuilding the school locally??...Because we have coaches, and mentors, that think this way...

I would feel disrespected at 1 year.

I'll feel disrespected and won't trust the coaches. It's different if no d1 offers came his way but he has power 5 offers. Since Al became coach he has done nothing but allow the views of entitlement to permeate the fan base mindset. It doesn't work like that. You can't say "come home because we're the home team" after not recruiting him. That's our issue now. Our program expects to be given everything. Our players don't even work as hard as a unit anymore but they love flexing for the Instagram pics. They take on the personality of the coach.
