JUCO OT Ousman Traore OV this week. Eligible immediately.

No I think they’re bringing him in to evaluate him. There’s no guarantee he will get an offer. If they sign him, it’ll be because of what they see in person.

They probably only looked at junior college film which may not tell them a lot based on the level of his competition. Maybe if you think it through the next time, it might be clear to you.
Evaluate him how? It’s illegal under NCAA rules to work guys out during their OVs

You don’t think a player like him is being evaluated? He is. Maybe not the way you think, but if he doesn’t have an offer, he’s being evaluated.

I hope he’s the real deal, but he doesn’t have an offer. What do you think that means?

Like his film, looks to be a good pass blocker but also a road grader in run blocking. I don’t see him as a tackle at all though
I don't either. Although I haven't looked at his film. Just from what I've read and his height.

It means more because he's a three-year kid.

Kennedy was a smart take because he's gone in a year. That's why so many good teams were in on him, it's low risk. If LSU is really offering this kid, they must be high on him.
I think Kennedy could be better if he could redshirt because he needs S&C work especially. But how can you redshirt a 5th year transfer unless he's hurt?

We all thought Tommy Kennedy was our LT or at worst a tackle and now it sounds like he will be a backup center/guard. The point is, you never know with these kids till they get on campus. Since we have the scholarships, bring him in and best case he starts at one of the guard or tackle spots. Worst case he's solid depth around our worst position.
Kennedy is not playing here

You’re a successful professional adult arguing with a 16 year-old kid whose mom still does his laundry and ticks him in. He knows nothing of real-life situations.

Just need a tackle where in the world can we find one tackle. I think Scaife can be the other one.

Finding a tackle is like finding big foot for us. We think they are out there, but we never seem to find them. I better pray that Scaife stays healthy and can transition to left tackle at 6’3 (not ideal) for a left tackle and then have someone out of Herbert, Nelson maybe Hillary **** I don’t even know. We better be searching the world for a Tackle over the next two months.

Unfortunately any tackle we find in the next 2 months is either going to be a project or a reject from another school. We got the crown jewel in Kennedy and most of us expected him to say 1 start at LT. Too bad he seems like a bust. Scaife will be fine at LT and Barry just needs to develop one of these guys (Campbell, Hillery, Herbert) into a serviceable RT for this year. Then we go into 2020 with the same OL ready to **** teams **** up.

I forgot about Campbell. Most likely going to be him at RT with Herbert as maybe a swing guy. Is Herbert finally healthy and actually putting on strength and size? Maybe we get lucky and some tackles fails some drug test over the summer somewhere else and lands in our lap. Crazy how we can’t find two tackles every year.

Herbert has said he’s finally healthy. We’ll see though.

Our OL recruiting has been *** from a quantity and quality standpoint. Very few true tackles the last few years.

Edit: Factor in our jr pee wee offense and a below average OL coach and you get what we saw last year.

2016:
Tre Johnson 3*

2017:
Donaldson 4*
Herbert 4*
Hillery 3*
Gaynor 3*
Dykstra 3*

2018:
Reed 4*
Scaife 4*
Campbell 3*

2019:
Nelson 3*
El Gammel 3*
Clark 3*
Traore (Juco)
Kennedy (Grad Transfer)

I do have faith that Barry will fix most of these issues. Sunday we should land our future RT in Rivers.

Scaife will be an AA at tackle. I don’t give a dirt how tall he is.
