Juco guard taking an official to Miami Wednesday. LSU is the main competitor but LSU wants him to come in as a recruit for their 2020 class while Miami still has space to bring him in right away and he would be eligible by the start of fall camp. Florida could also get involved. 6'3 325 pounds. Started 11 games as a true freshman in JUCO.

Still looking for JUCO film but this is his high school tape:

JUCO highlights from last season. You can see he made some improvements in his technique.

Just saw the email from 247 - that would be an awesome addition, not knowing one thing about him, except LSU trying to get him as a 2020 player.

So more on this, per RIVALS, kid is supposedly 6'4 now and has improved athletically since getting to JUCO. He went Juco because he wanted better offers as his gpa was a 3.0 and he had decent SAT scores so it wasnt cause of grades. His coach says he would love to play for Miami. UF is gathering information and could end up offering. Eligible immediately can play some tackled but projects better as a guard.

His combine numbers from his junior season aren't great- 6'2.5, 325, 5.94 40, 5.32 shuttle, 33.5 powerball and 22.2 vertical.

I do like that LSU is after him. They do a good job with road graders. Could be a late bloomer and we need numbers.

Our interior oline play has been pitiful to say the least these last few seasons anyone who can help generate push upfront would be a welcome addition in my book.

If he's eligible immediately & can get on campus by Fall camp bring him in.

We need depth on the OL more than any other position, everybody always talking about CB or LB, but our 2 Deep on the OL is scary if anybody goes down injured.

He can come in & compete at LG or be a backup RG if Donaldson gets hurt or if Donaldson has to temporarily play at Center if Gaynor got hurt. Unfortunately, we have guys like Dykstra, Brown & Kennedy that even if they're healthy are a liability for us if they ever have to play signifcant snaps (which I don't believe they will).

If we could get him & I'm Coach Barry I would even try him out at Center too, just to see if he could play there as well.

We all thought Tommy Kennedy was our LT or at worst a tackle and now it sounds like he will be a backup center/guard. The point is, you never know with these kids till they get on campus. Since we have the scholarships, bring him in and best case he starts at one of the guard or tackle spots. Worst case he's solid depth around our worst position.

Not only can he play right away, but you also get 4 years to groom him if he isnt ready. With our scholarship availability is a no brainer for me specially since you have LSU and UF after him also.

I think he is a project but it cant hurt depth specially when u start getting into the later part of the season and he gets some practice

Agreed and if Butch Barry is worth his salt (and I pray to God Shamgod that he is) then he should absolutely be able to get value from at worst a "project" like this kid.
