duke is gone, there is not much benefit for RBs to stay in scchool
 
Instead of bringing this thread to whether Duke will stay for his senior year why don't we discuss the prospect.

He was a starting OT in hs and backup DL but when he wen JUCO for whatever reason he was switched to DL full time. His only offers are on DL, no reason to bring him in in OL since he hasnt played there in two yrs. i dont think he is Miami caliber, IMO, but with that being said we have a ton of open scholarships for 2013 so the coachea clearly see it as a risk/reward situation.

If he's not miami caliber then I hope we don't bring him in and have him using up a scholarship for 3 years.We have numbers at DT what we need is to upgrade the talent.

I think Earl Moore will pan out in the long run, but Ivery needs to step up, and Briscoe, moved (and buried) to the o-line, obviously is out of his league and may not last much longer. We need to repleniish our DT's NOW. I don't think 4/5 would be totally out of the question. 2 JUCO's, 2/3 young studs. Question is, can we sell them all?

If Duke is healthy and has the type of trajectory we all expect, there is no way he should stay for his senior season. The NFL actually considers "miles" now as a big part of their assessment.

montee ball comes to mind. along with matthews from san diego. Pat hill worked that horse too hard and know all those carries are 534 in 3 yrs and half the time he was injured.


If Duke win ACC POY, which I expect him or Morris to win then I don't see him staying more than another year. He would be another tavon austin type and possibly bigger. Gotta improve his pass pro and hands going forward.

i didnt say impressive. I said "potential" he plays hard. Obviously, he is knew to dl so he has to work on technique. When i seen ambrister video, i thought he looked slow and didnt see much there. i didnt feel that way with this tape.

They are considering this kd but not DT juco schwab (from Mt. San Jancinto) who would eat this kids lunch, makes nooooo sense.

He's the DBC of DT's. Actually...can we find a way to make that the little phrase underneath his name? I'd rep a lot of ******* for that to happen.

I don't want "Freshman" underneath there no more, I want "The DBC of DT's."

Just out of curiosity, if this guy ends up at Oregon or Washington does it go from "don't want this guy, what is this staff going?" to "how did we lose out on a kid at this position to Oregon/Washington, what is this staff doing?" ?

He's committed to Oregon...He played for our school (Homestead) and lives right sround the block from me. He was a great offensive tackle and switched to DT in college. He has alot of potential on the defensive side of the ball.
