JUCO DT Julio Derosier offered

As for the DT, this is why, as we all know by now, the failure of getting a bigtime DT or two this year was so massive. A 2013 recruit was basically slated to play next to Pierre. I thought it'd have been Bryant, who was seemingly a perfect complement.

Yeah it's not like the DT situation gets better next year. If anything, it could get even worse depending on these young guys. We are desperate for JUCO help and it's good to see the staff pushing in their chips.

Still have to see us land an elite level, SEC type JUCO DT before I start believing it will happen, but this staff has shown it can find talent in a lot of places.

Dude looks like a player

Just goes to show you with defensive linemen that those 2 years after high school can make all the difference

Instant ingredient for a good mean defensive tackle = Haitian or Samoan heritage!!

Haitian? What Haitian DT's are out there?

Sorry for the delay, I ran off to lunch...

To answer your question: Olsen Pierre, William Joseph, Ricky Jean Francios, Rashad Jeanty, Ronnie Cameron... And since we're talking Haitian D-Lineman, throw in Elvis Dumervil & Jason Pierre-Paul And a host of other dudes with two first names (LOL)!

Where does it say this kid was offered by UM because based on his Juco Stats I would no chance this kid was offered by UM according to his schools website he played in 5 games and had 15 tackles all season. That is insane to avg 3 tackles a game and actaully get a UM offer, I am calling BS on this one based on his schools reported 2012 season stats.

So someone please show me where it is listed UM actually offered this kid a commitable offer and not just sent recruiting mail or the we would could use you at UM, spiel.

Go Canes!

He has to pass a summer class to be admitted into UM. He says if he is cleared he will commit and be at UM in the fall. If he isn't admitted into UM than he will go to Washington because he has already been admitted. Also is close to being offered by Arizona.

Reason why he had 15 tackles is because he broke his foot the 5th game. He also broke a foot his freshman yr and got a medical redshirt because of it. Not sure what the staffs looking at here considering he played OT in HS and than has played a total of 7 games the last two yrs because of two broken feet. I know we need DT's and all but this move I am very skeptical of.

I like his style

He can get in at Washington right now, be there for summer, and eligible this fall.

Or he can take some classes at JuCo this summer to qualify for Miami, and then be eligible for fall camp in 2013 at The U. We're trying to get him to take summer classes and go that route, and the kid sounds willing to work to get there.

He's a big-bodied kid, can play DE or DT depending on how his body develops, and he would be a great addition for 2013 if everything falls into place.

Could be a nice, quiet steal and give our line some potential big-bodied depth. He used a medical redshirt, so if he's here for fall, he'll have three years to play three. Also good news.

Would be really nice. Fingers crossed.

At RB, you have to go when they'll take you. Shelf life is too short. Wont blame him at all, I'd do the same myself

I think Duke is the type of person who will stick around longer that you think. I wouldn't at all be surprised with him not chasing NFL money right out the box.
Is he interested?

Golden knows whats up. Moore and Ivery are not ready to man the middle with Pierre next year. King, maybe. We cant afford to fool around with Chick and crews senior year and Dukes last year. (Yes. I think he would go pro early). No time to mess around. We gotta make a run.
