Reminds me more of Pedro Cerrano.

Kamalu had 52 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries....

he is a 2 star with really 1 offer from west virginia who would offer me to play defensive end they're that desperate and honestly he doesn't show me much of anything so this is just a whatever visit only good thing is this can be the first of many surprises this weekend

With the players we have coming this weekend I'm pretty sure this isn't a nothing visit.
You don't bring in a group of thoroughbreds and then decide to bring in a plow horse just for the **** of it.
It's pretty obvious that Golden doesn't bring anyone in for an official visit unless they are seriously considering that player.

im not saying that, i mean he isn't a guy that will excite any of us right now but if he gets offered and commits just like figueroa, kerr and the other non big names i will trust AG and the staff that they got the right guy but for now the demarcus ware comparisons is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy out there

DZP didn't have amazing reviews coming outta high school...

3-4 end? Kid looks pretty good IF the size is legit. Golden has earned my trust with some of his under the radar takes. I'd have to yield to him for now.

not every random *** 2-star recruit that no one has ever heard of is an unearthed gem, btw. some of them are just guys or straight prayers on upside. some of them turn out to be kelvin cain, jimmy gaines or worse. not saying anything about this guy in particular but just in general.

but whatever we need whatever help on the D line, so **** it

Agreed. We need fewer projects and hidden gems. Theres a reason Darius Smith wasnt highly recruited, and got beat out by true freshman

come to think of it: who was the last legit under the radar recruit that was a definite above average player at UM? i can't even think of one

For a more sane comparison, maybe Olsen Pierre?

Btw, I think Auburn and West Virginia have interest in him too so not exactly a reach

Excellent comparison. It's Pierre's evolution that has cemented in my mind Golden's special eye for raw talent.

Eddie Johnson
Rashawn Scott
Ladarius Gunter

off the top of my head.

EJ and rashawn both had multiple BCS offers... so they're pretty borderline as "under the radar" goes. gunter only gets burn at UM cuz we have no DBs, he's average at best. stephen is another borderline case.

clive is probably the best example of guys we have now. but there's also dudes like corey king and armbrister and gaines and cain etc that would probably never see the field for a top 15 team.

Eddie Johnson - Is a huge knucklehead and almost kicked off team multiple times. Might be good player.
Rashawn Scott - Is a huge knucklehead and almost kicked off team multiple times. Might be good player.
Ladarius Gunter- Ummmmm........done nothing.

some guy named Ed Reed his best offer was from Tulane.. Clive Walford was a great find by Randy kid played only his sr year and was a 2 star then became a 3 late his sr year... Had a good soph year and should be a all acc TE these next 2 years with Sandland. Marcus Maxey was under the radar till late and became all acc cb for us and was drafted in the 3rd round

Not sure if Golden wants to run a 3-4, or is trying to build a full tribe.

Oh if we don't get Alex Collins by some quirk of fate and have to settle for 2013 RB Diocemy St. Juste "the Haitian Express" from Santaluces, FL your really gonna call INS and have a cow. AG will literally have gone to the ends of the earth for Talent (Africa and the Caribbean) to bring to UM, an I love it. Shout out to all the the Haitians and Islanders out there; SAK PASE!!!

Go Canes!

Eddie Johnson had a Louisville and UCF offer...that was it for him (other than us). Rashawn has USF and Michigan State. In other words, scouts needed to do research on whether to offer or not.

How about Eddie Johnson who was a 2 star nobody. Stephen Morris who nobody except his family and his teammates at Pace were excited about. Tyler Horn another 2 star nobody and became an All ACC center. Orlando Franklin another 2 star Offensive lineman nobody when we recruited him.
The list can just keep on going way before there were recruiting services online.
Our championship teams were not made with 5 star recruits but off the radar guys who were hungrier then any 5 star recruit could ever be.

Hol'up so if Eddie Johnson isn't under rated because he had an offer from Louisville, how is Ufomba Kamalu underrated because he has an offer from West Virginia? Very similar schools if you ask me.

Why do people try Gunter all the time? He was arguably the best corner but some have him as just " ok " and losing his job.

I bet if he was a four star he'd get more love and be considered a stud.
