So pay him. Miami would get a 10x on that investment between additional revenues, donations, marketing, publicity, etc .... especially if the ACC adopts a success based revenue arrangement.

welllll he hates Chip Kelly so there's that. And most everything you named aint leaving him if he were to go portal to another school. So theres always a chance and ive heard hes ears are wide open. Ive heard that from some so so types who might be full of chit but ive heard from a few others thats theres wheels to this. I would like UM to go scorched earth on Ohio State (and the B1G) and tell Smith that we think it is a travesty he can’t enter the nfl draft because of an illegal restriction from the nfl that says players have to be 3 years out of HS to be draft eligible. We would like him to be the lead plaintiff in a class action lawsuit against the NFL for an unlawful restraint on trade.
UM should announce that while we encourage all players to complete their degree, any player that has the talent to play in the nfl should not be required to wait. They should be allowed to pursue their chosen profession at any time.
I want to feel the hatred of Buckeye fans for trying to get their best players to leave them for the nfl.
