Ok you're not a troll, you're just dumb. I'm a lawyer, and what you've done here is ridiculously oversensationalize a likely very minor situation.

As I said earlier, that is a very sketchy arrest and will almost certainly not be prosecuted.

Saying multiple drug charges for what is actually just marijuana they almost certainly aren't even going to link to Haskins is just completely unfair to the kid.

So you're not a troll, you just have an agenda against Haskins for some weird reason, and you start a thread, without giving any proof that this has affected or will affect his status at Miami, for the sole purpose of slandering him.

But please, tell me more about the law and these "charges", I'd love to get a good laugh today

We need to see the arrest report. If you're a lawyer, you should know that. For all we know our recruit had a pipe in his pocket. If he was just in the car, then charges will be dropped if he has competent representation. The part that sounds more incriminating is that one of his charges states he was high on drugs. You have to pass on the kid if even that is true when you're starting a new regime.

Schools wouldn't be able to field teams if they kicked every kid that smokes weed off the team.

Just giving us an update that was in the paper. Don't see the harm in that. Hope the kid learned a good lesson. Know the company you keep can bring you down quickly right or not.

I don't want to get into a ****ing match with you but I'm a lawyer too and frankly I think you are the stupid one and It's pretty clear to everyone in the thread. I'm not judging the kid and I definitely have no agenda. I merely brought the information to the board and stated that I don't think he makes it to coral gables. If I'm wrong I am wrong. I'm not going to feel bad about that statement.

I was on the fence about Haskins but now I'm all in on the kid. He got some dog in him.
 
Don't know the OP or think necessarily that he/she has an agenda. However, because none of the major media outlets has picked up this story as of my writing this post, posting about it here ahead of the news outlets only serves to increase the likelihood that they will discover it and it will become national news as opposed to a local story. As most of you already know the local SF news reporters and reporters from other news agencies monitor this site and others like it. Please do give some thought to how what you post here might impact our players or future players.

I'm not a lawyer, but I have had enough experience with law enforcement to feel comfortable in saying that when it is multiple people in a car and one or more of them has contraband that it is not uncommon for officers to initially charge everyone in the car. Obviously, this puts pressure on those persons who were not carrying the contraband to be forthright about those who were. That's the idea anyway. That being said, if Haskins was not carrying then there is a good possibility that the charges against him will be dropped.

If Haskins didn't have possession of the drug, then to me that newspaper is trying to sell issues by printing sensational headlines. Let's not help those who are not helping us or our players.

Finally, this is a great lesson for parents who have teenagers. Let them know that they should be sure they trust everyone they are climbing into a car with so as to avoid this type of situation or worse.

Always good to have a few rogue Jersey kids hanging around. Always thought we should have given Zach Kane a break. Wasnt he from Jersey or was it Philly? And didnt he get into a fight or something and we never admitted him? He looked like a tough SOB from his highlights.

If Haskins is cleared, he will be here. Nothing to see here.

How is the even remotely the same? One kid got arrested, the other kid has NO legal charges against him.
