He did say it was going to take 3-4 years to turn the program around, just didn’t realize he was really going to take the full 4 years.

Yea and just like 99% of the projects being built nowadays seems like this one is gonna come in way past it’s completion date..

the issue of the michigan contract should be easy to resolve. it should be online since michigan is a public university and by law those documents are generally available.

Isn’t Florida a right to work state , meaning he can get fired for anything?

Just fire his *** and let the lawyers and courts figure it out, they’ll come to an agreement thru arbitration.
"right to work" is a union term that people misuse all of the time. florida is an "at will" state which means that unless you have an employment contract that provides otherwise, you can be terminated for any reason that is not constitutionally protected.

Understood, now my concern is who actually signed this contract with Gatass without having some type of escape clause. I understand they weren’t expecting this after one year, but you need to have everything covered.

I don’t understand why people around the program consistently say that we’re willing to pay a high school prospect $2M per year but won’t pony up $1.8M to buy out a coach in order to make a necessary change to the offense.
Schools don't play for players' NIL, companies such as LifeWallet do. School/Boosters pay for coaches' salaries/buyouts.

most of these contracts are guaranteed except for a termination for cause which to my knowledge UM cannot invoke (the fans obviously think differently). the michigan langauge would be somewhat unique here. hopefully we never get to see it because if we do that means litigation arose, which i hope doesn't (run on sentence).

Exactly. A signed contract and the language therein usurps any “right to work” law. “Right to work” with Gatass is not an issue whatsoever.

The supposed combined Michigan/Miami contractual issues could create some stumbling blocks. I can understand that Miami may be attempting to not pay any more $$$ than absolutely necessary but when is enough enough before any more short term damage is done concerning recruiting, continuity, etc?

How about your kids getting a playbook for spring ball?

Just terrible.

silver lining in this ridiculous situation is it's so embarrassing to mario that it bound to affect his coaching/decision making going foward (in positive manner). if it don't he really is a caveman

I'm not sure why "playbook" has become some sort of lucky talisman that "Gattis is coming back in 2023" keep rubbing like they are *********ing Bear.

Can you provide us with some more details?

Is this a new playbook? Is it the 7th edition, like a textbook? Was it waiting in the dorm rooms of the Spring enrollees?

When will people accept the obvious: the He-Man Mario Haters Club MADE UP THE STORY about players getting the Gattis playbook. It's a lie, to perpetuate all of their other false evidence about how Gattis is coming back in 2023.

Whatever playbook anyone has is the same playbook we had last year. Because a new OC hasn't yet been hired. But will be soon.

Because Gattis got got. He ain't comin' back.

.

I don't know what story you are talking about?

I obviously am referring to the playbook of the new OC...so offensive players...could...you know...become familiar with it for spring?
