Probably would of been able to win a few more games last season if we were able to run it with Jaccuri tbh.
Exactly
It would have been better than running qb power every play like gattis
It’s crazy how he did absolutely nothing to help build up a young qbs confidence
Easy swing passes
Screens
Boot legs with run/pass option

Gattis’ time at Miami is the only example of what a “Gattis offense” looks like. You absolutely cannot reference Michigan Bama or Penn St because Gattis didn’t have control, ESPECIALLY at Bama and Penn St where Locksley basically hit Gattis in the face with his diq for trying to take claim to anything

Look Gattis is gonna be gone, good luck to him and whatever school he goes to. Hopefully he has learned some lessons, but I’d bet he hasn’t
I hear u but similar stuff shows up on the film from penn state ,bama , Michigan and Miami so its safe to say he had input at those stops ,some more than most of course. Im sure he picked up stuff along the way too like any other coach

A few assumptions I am making. There was some early buzz about Iowa and Gattis after the Michigan qb and I believe another guy on offense portaled there that played under him.

Mario is allowing Gattis to save face so it will appear he's leaving on his own. This also eliminates the issue of a contract buyout.

This was already done so it's a matter of formality when it's announced.

Mario could already have a list of guys from Highsmith that fits what they're looking for. Some of those candidates may already have jobs they like but would consider the Miami OC job if offered. They are not necessarily currently on the market.

Not out of realm of possibility at all.
The Iowa thing was hilarious

Ferentz is gonna what…fire his kid to hire Josh Gattis?

He's not an Air Raid OC....His rushing Attack is as Lethal....It led the Big12 in rushing several yrs when he was OC at Missouri.

You’re correct

(Not directed at you) If I had a nickel for every time a porster mislabeled a coach as Air Raid……

News flash, the majority of offenses today are based on spread concepts….. which is beneficial in the running game when you don’t have an elite OL

Hear me out.. hire Gattis, show the fans what an all time worst OC looks like, and they'll be begging you to bring your son back

How is it a promotion? Nfl>>>>> college.
Since I’m being asked to seriously defend a post that said “my IRRATIONAL hope”, here goes:

How much do you figure he’s making this year as OC? How many multiples of this amount do you figure Mario and Ruiz could offer him to come back to his alma mater, as Offensive Coordinator and Associate Head Coach?

PS Nick Saban says that some genius once told him the same thing that you just did.

Labeling someone as "Air Raid" is about as wrong as saying "that guy runs a 4-3 defense".

Honestly? Ken N would be a better hire than retaining Gattis lmfao. (I am a biased veer guy though, take this with a spoon of salt.) Jacurri, Chris Johnson at wingback, Citizen/Fletcher playing fullback, Arroyo and Colbie Young as your split ends. A couple classes retooling toward the veer. A man can dream haha

Listening to all Mario’s talks
It’s clear his message is that coaching is not the issue
And that he lacks talent
All he talks about is talent acquisition
And I think that’s his play
He’s gonna keep talking about needing more talent
At least he’s shown an amazing ability in acquiring said talent
It’s gattis or bust
Gotta hope Mario gets enough talent to out talent the corching
