I’d give 2 Fuqs if I knew the position I was coaching was destined for failure under an incompetent manager

Exactly. You could have the QB whisperer here and it wouldn't have mattered one single bit with Gattis calling the plays to go with the other issues we had going on. A bad OC or DC can make the best position coaches in the country look like a straight up dog ****.

Just going by what he has stated.

We will have a balanced attack,” Cristobal said. “[Coach Gattis] morphed a system at [Alabama and Michigan]. It came together with a lot of time and research.

It is really explosive, it mixes tempo with the ability to go really fast and slow it down when you have to. It is a true power, spread offense where you can get downhill on the running game and create explosive plays on the outside.”
That is exactly what we need and what Joe Brady implemented that one season at LSU. Had outstanding production passing AND running. Gattis just doesn't know HOE to do it. Unfortunately GATTIS did NOT do it at Michigan ... Harbaugh promoted a TE coach to Co/OC with responsibility for GAME PLANNING and also added another offensive staffer to help Gattis, and Harbaugh was also involved. So Gattis didn't do squat at Michigan, himself, as far as "orchestrating" and offense ... from a game planning or execution / game day play calling standpoint. With the right OC the future is bright.

It can also be done with modern day “air-raid” principles similar to what Phil Longo.

Likewise with TCU and USC who rank in the top 25 in rushing.

Do you see Mario entertaining “air-raid” principles in an offensive scheme.

Believe it really depends on WHO the OC is. What has he accomplished. You get Garrett Riley as the OC, and he is a guy, based on what he has accomplished on the field, that Mario I believe will listen to.

Lol @ anyone blaming the QB coach who has nothing to do with play calling and designs for the entire offenses failures

No doubt. Mario has seen Gattis and his trash offense ***** up WR and QB recruiting this year. The end is near
Sure hope so but begs the question why is he still the OC and recruiting if he Mario sees him as such a detriment to that process?

Man, the WEZ banner game was legendary. National press, mentioned by the school president and totally effective.
I remember being in pitt the year we got golden canned. Booing No D off the field.
