I haven't heard one quote from him or a thing about his recruitment.. Haven't heard the coaches going by to see him or anything... Do I know what's going on with him?

He visited with Mullins and ced wright on the 15th. He is extremly solid

Isn't it great that we don't have a definite recruit who we think will be the best, that's how you know how talented this class really is.

Quietly went about his business. Didnt want the hoopla. $Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...this is the kind of recruit we want! A monster stud who doesnt want to play games. Type of kid who probably should have been selfish and transferred to a MiaCen or Booker T if he wanted the national hype. He is a man.

Reminds me of Wilfork.

Did he slap a kid on the 3rd or 4th play. Film session sucked for that poor kid on Monday. Joe's pimp hand no joke.

Go Canes!

He's solid. I don't think he likes recruiting interviews much so it's been quiet.

That's true because you can make a argument why Shaq, Zach, Byrd, Richards, or even Allison will be the best in the class alot of talent. Squad17 will only add more talent too this team.

How heavy is he? Isn't he close to 250? Any chance he grows into a 4-3 3 technique DT? That's where I see him going but that's IMO. How fast is he?

Never laughed at a highlight tape before. First couple highlights reminded me of Forrest Gump, expected him to just keep on running out of the stadium

This guy embodies why I am in disagree with labeling Haskins a "physical specimen" or some sort of athletic marvel.

They're roughly the same size. Jackson is more explosive, more fluid, has smoother running mechanics, and accelerates quicker.
You are making an unfair comparison. This guy's tape is absurd. Someone below says it's the best he's seen since P Buch. That's 17 years ago. Not saying that's right but the point is, you're trying to claim Haskins isn't an athletic specimen by pointing to a freak.

Haskins looks like a very good athletic specimen. He's not as fast or fluid as Johnson. Ok. He still has hands, can run, has agility, played QB, HB and TE in HS, and looks like a kid who could be a real solid TE or even DL if he keeps growing.

I actually think Haskins is more fluid. I'm not sure Jackson could play QB and make moves like Haskins.

Jackson just has such a major advantage in explosiveness and power. Kool is a godsend for him, and vice versa.

Maybe we're using the term differently. Jackson looks a lot more fluid to me. His movements flow, his running is smoother, less choppy. His catches and transitions to continue running more smooth.

That doesn't mean he could play QB, but to me that is not about being fluid so much as a combination of hand eye coordinatin, arm strength, and the QB mindset/intellect. Also, to your comment, jukes and moves in the face of pressure are imo not necessarily or even much at all about fluidity. Just reaction, balance and coordination. I agree that Jackson may not be the guy in traffic Haskins seems to be, though Jackson seems far better in space and in an open field.

Haskins also looks to be thicker / stronger, though they both have good frames.
