Johnnie Dixon to Ohio Taint

Parr is a good HS QB, but I'm not sure he's a kid the big 3 recruit. He was great when he had 4 WRs and a RB better than most in FL. It will be interesting to see what he does next year.

I'll throw this out there also.....Dixon is a stud athlete, but overrated as a WR. His money position at DB. He might have been the fastest kid at Dwyer.....but he wasn't the best WR there. He doesn't run great routes, he's a huge deep threat, they love throwing the seam and fade to him..... I don't think he was Dwyers best WR this year.....
I actually agree to an extent. I think he's equally gifted at both DB and WR but I agree he wasn't the best WR for Dwyer. Parr has his faults but he has a big arm and can make all the throws. He can run when he needs to but he needs to carry the ball high and tight or he's gonna have serious fumbling issues in college. He has been getting recruiting interest from FSU and Miami since the St. Thomas game... Dwyer's got another great back behind Alonzo waiting for Daniel and they have a very good TE for Daniel. But WR and OL will be issues next year from the looks of it.

You know, I haven't watched a lot of Dixon, but he looked like a stud athlete, very smooth and very twitchy. Still, he was often blanketed by Niceville's number 11. I don't know if even a great WR would get open every play, but it might not be that hard to take him out of a game and limit his damage.

I have seen comments from time to time that he seems not to get great separation as you would expect from such a touted prospect. He might be the type of guy who works best with a QB whose strength is a great deep ball like Morris, because he'll eventually get behind coverage because of speed. Isn't that Dorsett's strength?

The underrated aspect of his game as a receiver is his ability to work in traffic. He is actually very good at hauling in contested balls when he can't get separation. He's an incredibly strong WR. His ability after the catch is also eye opening. Also just so you know, #11 is Elijah Stove who has an offer from Clemson and is an incredible athlete. Runs a 4.4 as a sophomore.

I was wondering about him. He's very skinny and maybe pretty tall. He was often stride for stride with JD. So JD wasn't being covered by chopped liver.

And I've noticed that JD's physique looks unusually thick and muscular for a WR. He does look like he would be strong.

I think Niceville is supposed to be a small town in the panhandle, but I've heard of some very good players coming out of there over the years. Some went to FSU.

Daniel is a cane if offered, I'd stake my right to post on it just like with Johnnie. Daniels isn't pushing anyone away and you all are just basing that on bull**** claims that because our top players went to UF (When they were the better football team!) it must be Daniels' fault. It couldn't possibly be one decided to go UF and convinced the others to follow him so they could play together... Some of you are pathetic, sullying his reputation because the U can't haul many Dwyer kids in. Half the coaches on Dwyer's staff are huge Miami fans.

I tend to believe you are accurate in what you say. I don't think a head coach could get away with boycotting a college for too long with his kids. It might backfire at some point. If he did so with Jacoby, it was very harmful to the kid. He tried to get back to Miami but we said we had no openings and had to go to NC State. I tend to think UF sold Jacoby a "bill of goods" and he accepted it. It turned out to not be in his interest. He might be in the lead for UM's starting QB position now.

or maybe hes' just a highschool kid who wanted the opportunity start at QB as a freshman at the school his friends and highschool teammates were attending.

Very possible and easier to believe than conspiracy theories about a coach. Some schools just tend to become pipelines, I guess. The younger kids just tend to want to follow the older kids with whom they played and became friends. Maybe that Leary kid became an exception because of family ties.

Yeah stove is really good, I was impressed with him. He's got a solid 2 inches on Johnnie and not nearly as thick. Johnnie is very strong, has made a number of corners that try and press him look silly on the year. Idk if you saw the one play were Johnnie came chasing down #7 I think and almost had him but got taken out by our #7, but I thought that play really showed off his speed. He gained ground quickly.

Can't forget Curt and Malik either. They are both at Tennessee now. Idk if Miami offered them though.

Done with Dixon go kick rocks in Columbus with Urban til he can't handle the heat and retires or his wife kicks him to the curb

We did all we could on Dixon

DwyerCane you still think Johnnie's coming to Miami or has your opinion kind of shifted with everyone elses? Just curious

Yes we did, and whether he is coming or not, your first sentence is not necessary nor helpful.

PSA.....Feeding trolls is bad for your health

if he's a troll, he's done more homework on a high school and player then any troll i've ever seen.

Don't see a troll putting that kind of time in..

Not sure we'll get Dixon cause he's as unpredictable as it gets, but i appreciate WTDwyer's input.

2:30 EST Update:

Just texted Johnnie and he gave a me an "update". A few articles are circling the web this weekend are saying he is ready to announce his commitment. Johnnie told me that he is not sure when he will announce.

Also, he is still considering Ohio State, Miami, and Alabama.

why is this dude struggling so much with this choice. either make it or wait but why the slow play??

Urban will want him to do it on National TV for the attention

people so confident he going to osu for some reason i dont understand it

"Rumors" but if he was so dead set on OSU he'd have announced or had a date set. Going back to that in home visit where it was reported that mom signed off and it was a done deal it seems like bull**** now. Whether mom signed off and Dixon really wants to stay here, Dixon signed off but moms pressuring him to stay, Dixon signed off but Daniels and mom are trying to convince him to stay or Daniels is trying to convince them both and they aren't having it. Either way it is something is holding him back and that in home visit to me didn't go by perfect like it was speculated
