we getting everyone
who was the last dwyer kid we landed and actually contributed?
Rashad Butler
If we don't land Dixon we might as well stop recruiting Dwyer as long as Daniels is there.
Because that makes a ton of sense with Daniel Parr essentially being a cane lock if offered.

Come on man...cane lock and Dwyer in the same sentence? Convinced Daniels is doing everything he can to make sure UM doesn't ever get a kid from there. He may not be outright pushing guys to UF but sure seems he's doing his best to make sure it's anywhere else but here.
I actually agree to an extent. I think he's equally gifted at both DB and WR but I agree he wasn't the best WR for Dwyer. Parr has his faults but he has a big arm and can make all the throws. He can run when he needs to but he needs to carry the ball high and tight or he's gonna have serious fumbling issues in college. He has been getting recruiting interest from FSU and Miami since the St. Thomas game... Dwyer's got another great back behind Alonzo waiting for Daniel and they have a very good TE for Daniel. But WR and OL will be issues next year from the looks of it.Parr is a good HS QB, but I'm not sure he's a kid the big 3 recruit. He was great when he had 4 WRs and a RB better than most in FL. It will be interesting to see what he does next year.
I'll throw this out there also.....Dixon is a stud athlete, but overrated as a WR. His money position at DB. He might have been the fastest kid at Dwyer.....but he wasn't the best WR there. He doesn't run great routes, he's a huge deep threat, they love throwing the seam and fade to him..... I don't think he was Dwyers best WR this year.....
Martinson is the TE, right? They'll probably get some WR transfers.....but They are going to start feeling the effect of Oxbridge. They are getting a ton of studs from Riviera....

Daniel is a cane if offered, I'd stake my right to post on it just like with Johnnie. Daniels isn't pushing anyone away and you all are just basing that on bull**** claims that because our top players went to UF (When they were the better football team!) it must be Daniels' fault. It couldn't possibly be one decided to go UF and convinced the others to follow him so they could play together... Some of you are pathetic, sullying his reputation because the U can't haul many Dwyer kids in. Half the coaches on Dwyer's staff are huge Miami fans.

I tend to believe you are accurate in what you say. I don't think a head coach could get away with boycotting a college for too long with his kids. It might backfire at some point. If he did so with Jacoby, it was very harmful to the kid. He tried to get back to Miami but we said we had no openings and had to go to NC State. I tend to think UF sold Jacoby a "bill of goods" and he accepted it. It turned out to not be in his interest. He might be in the lead for UM's starting QB position now.

You know, I haven't watched a lot of Dixon, but he looked like a stud athlete, very smooth and very twitchy. Still, he was often blanketed by Niceville's number 11. I don't know if even a great WR would get open every play, but it might not be that hard to take him out of a game and limit his damage.
I have seen comments from time to time that he seems not to get great separation as you would expect from such a touted prospect. He might be the type of guy who works best with a QB whose strength is a great deep ball like Morris, because he'll eventually get behind coverage because of speed. Isn't that Dorsett's strength?
