Nah Cuddy; watching the game from home it looked bad, & again, those aqua blue seats makes it look worst. So I’m sure it was a good turn out, but it looks **** poor. The ones that were there were loud, though. But I’m telling u, it looks worst b/c of the aesthetics.

It was a good crowd.
Part of the perception is the Golden Canes section, between the 40’s/lower tier on Miami’s side. They’re 25% full on non-marquee games.
Also, as I said, fans show up late, and take their time getting back to their seats after half.

I can’t disagree with you because you see what you see (on TV).
I’m just giving you my view (literally) from inside the stadium as to the “why’s?”.

Sorry man but Tv angles rarely show the GC/ home side section. Primary cameras are on the home side and we get the view of the visitor side. No need to try and polish this ****, we are what we are.

The crowd was not bad.... at all.

Why feel the need to explain the attendance to anyone. Who gives a **** what people think about the fans. They take shots at the fans because that's what they got. They used to call players thugs. They will find whatever they can.

When we start beating asses it will only get louder.

Sigh; I wish u guys would read my post in full before feeling the need to defend. I clearly said the aesthetics of the stadium makes it look worst than it really is.

When u’re watching the game on TV, the stadium looks 1/3 empty, & sparse. Why? B/c of the aesthetics. If someone is missing from their seat, it shows 100%. That’s my point, nothing more nothing less.

@Rellyrell , I didn’t say the crowd in the uppers wasn’t sparse. I was responding to the shot of the lower tier just after the half, and the lower tier in general.

I was going to add a final point and I should have done so….
@MiamisMoperiestMopes , you are absolutely right. I wasn’t going to respond to the pic because I knew this is what it wouldn’t turn into.
To me it’s a tired issue and ‘it is what it is”. TBH the attendance stuff doesn’t affect me one way or another because, other than a decent bump in the early 90’s, it’s been this way for a long time.

I love to go to the games. i can’t answer for others.

Listen, have u guys heard Brad Nessler & Gary Danielson?? These two complain about everything, & if a ref miss a call they think should’ve been called, good night. Thank God they haven’t called any of our games…I mean every B1G game they call it’s:

Danielson: “Was that a catch? I dunno, Brad; looks like his foot maybe landed out of bounds. Oooooooo, that’s so close.

Nessler: “Let’s get our rules expert in here to see if that was a catch or not; Gene, what did u see?”

Steratore: “Yeah guys, I see a catch. He maintains complete control, w/ his right foot in just before his left foot lands out of bounds. I don’t see anything inconclusive to overturn the call on the field.”

Danielson: “Yeah, well it’s close & I think if the call was originally ruled incomplete, it would stand as incomplete. Just a smidgen of a second it appears one foot landed in bounds instead of out of bounds. A real bang bang play; let’s see what the call is.”

Ref: “Upon video review, the call on the field is confirmed; it’s a catch. Game operator, pls re-set the clock to…”

Nessler: “Well, Gene was right, & they decided to stick w the call on the field; I guess they didn’t see anything inconclusive to change the call.”

Danielson: “Yeah, looks like Team A got away with one, b/c to the naked eye it looked like an incomplete pass.”

Literally that’s how all their play-by-play go no matter who’s the squad. They’ll even come back from commercial break talking about **** that they felt was the wrong call. It’s annoying af. I’ll take Joe 7 days out of the week.
That was exact dialogue when Texas tech was marching downfield for winning score against cyclones.

I did read it but we hear this every single year. It truly "is what it is". Were not leaving the stadium. The Dolphins wear teal. The seats are teal.

The same people, not you, who say this also never discuss empty seats for anyone else. I'm just enjoying the weekly backflips pundits and opposing fans need to use to tear us down. **** I'm enjoying seeing our own Stockholm Syndrome fans do the same.

:sips the hate:

Lol

Tin foil hat on - The networks pan to the empty seats on purpose to negatively recruit us to assist SEC schools.

True! There is no other announcer to have that one teed up to give X that amount of love. Announcing was fine yesterday they are calling it as they see it. Had no problem with either of them.
Call was legit remarkable. Made breaking a Miami specific record sound better than when Lebron broke the scoring record. Started seeing should Restrepo be in the heisman race talk from impartial people.

Me too my man. I sold my four tickets in section 143 for $60 each just to make sure there were asses in those seats. I've only been there for the FSU game and have sold the rest at a huge discount. Luckily got down to Canesville and am going to Atlanta Saturday (I'm in SC)

The dumbest thing they ever did at HR is that 50-yard line section. I have a friend who has seats in the 72 Club for the Phins, and he's given me tickets there twice recently. It's never full, even for the Dolphins. It's such a weird feel and aesthetic.
I'm a fan of the stadium, just not that area.

I walked right through multiple security checkpoints last year at the aTm game and ended up buying a beer at the 72 Bar with Andre Johnson and Edge eating chicken wings at the bar.

Got the beer taken away from me when they saw I didn't have as wristband and escorted me out :(
Lots of money in that little bar.

Two things:

1. I can’t prove this but that section in particular is almost always entirely empty except for big games (I’m at all the games so I see it). I don’t think tickets are sold to that section for games like Duke.
2. The stadium was surprisingly full. I’ve been to enough noon games to know. The enthusiasm for this team is palpable.
