Joe Tessitore

He was fine.

It's Palmer.

Whenever the team has a ball on offense,

Palmer puts on the San Francisco knee pads.

We have the #2 Strength of Record.
If you're talking about ESPN's SOR, yes they have us #2 but they also rank us #10. They have BYU with SOR #3 and ranked #28. Palmer said we haven't played/beat a ranked opponent which is true, whether you want to admit it or not. Try and stay on topic

Listen, have u guys heard Brad Nessler & Gary Danielson?? These two complain about everything, & if a ref miss a call they think should’ve been called, good night. Thank God they haven’t called any of our games…I mean every B1G game they call it’s:

Danielson: “Was that a catch? I dunno, Brad; looks like his foot maybe landed out of bounds. Oooooooo, that’s so close.

Nessler: “Let’s get our rules expert in here to see if that was a catch or not; Gene, what did u see?”

Steratore: “Yeah guys, I see a catch. He maintains complete control, w/ his right foot in just before his left foot lands out of bounds. I don’t see anything inconclusive to overturn the call on the field.”

Danielson: “Yeah, well it’s close & I think if the call was originally ruled incomplete, it would stand as incomplete. Just a smidgen of a second it appears one foot landed in bounds instead of out of bounds. A real bang bang play; let’s see what the call is.”

Ref: “Upon video review, the call on the field is confirmed; it’s a catch. Game operator, pls re-set the clock to…”

Nessler: “Well, Gene was right, & they decided to stick w the call on the field; I guess they didn’t see anything inconclusive to change the call.”

Danielson: “Yeah, looks like Team A got away with one, b/c to the naked eye it looked like an incomplete pass.”

Literally that’s how all their play-by-play go no matter who’s the squad. They’ll even come back from commercial break talking about **** that they felt was the wrong call. It’s annoying af. I’ll take Joe 7 days out of the week.

-Rosy Palmer made the comment that Duke "controlled" the 1st half. Up 21-17, but controlled? Wouldn't that comment be reserved for a team with a bigger lead? Or one that dominated statistically?

-recorded and watched quickly - ffwd'ing between some plays, but have to say Jesse's Girl's 'will make an example of Miami' comment definitely caught my attention. He was expressing it from a Duke pov, but said it as if it were happening. Wishful thinking, perhaps?

Tess's call of Restrepo's record-breaker was indeed a classic. Kudos to Joe. The constant over-the-top enthusiasm/loudness isn't my preference, but for a play-by-play guy he's knowledgeable and complements the analyst well. I know when I'm listening to Tess (and generally enjoy the broadcast); he's definitely not a run-of-the-mill type.

*still can't believe I allowed the Bachelor with some convincing analysis to persuade me that Mertz could actually be a threat during his pre-game spot Week 1.

It is crazy how much everyone complains about anything but the team. It’s truly hysterical.

All the refs suck
All the announcers Hate us and push an agenda
The opposing team taunts us, must be low life pieces of trash
Opposing fans are mean

I mean seriously, do you guys hear yourselves?
Don’t forget we’re wearing the wrong units.

Stay on topic? I was responding to another post.

The playoff committee cares more about SOR than SOS. Also, the rankings are biased, problematic, and created in large part to stir up controversy in order to drive media ratings. They use ridiculous circular logic in order to promote certain brands. It’s laughable that any of you would care about anything that Jesse Palmer says, or whether or not we’ve played or beaten an opponent “ranked” by the AP Poll.

But you must know they are a joke, because you are proving my point as well. They don’t look at numbers and stats because they are biased. Like when that idiot from Wyoming ranked us #16 because he submitted his poll before the Cal game was over assuming we lost. He then ranked us #3 I believe the next week when he saw he had won…🙄

Shot was taken just after halftime.
No excuse though, I had my *** back in my seat.

I thought it was a good crowd.

Nah Cuddy; watching the game from home it looked bad, & again, those aqua blue seats makes it look worst. So I’m sure it was a good turn out, but it looks **** poor. The ones that were there were loud, though. But I’m telling u, it looks worst b/c of the aesthetics.

If this was a good turnout our fans extended Halloween and came dressed as empty seats.

This call is legit amazing. Whatever complaint someone has for Tess (don’t agree) should be wiped away by that call that will live for Restrepo forever.
True! There is no other announcer to have that one teed up to give X that amount of love. Announcing was fine yesterday they are calling it as they see it. Had no problem with either of them.
