It’s his job to call the game like that. The refs called it a TD on the field. With the intention of reviewing it imo. Yes we all knew it was probably a forward pass but it wasn’t confirmed until we saw a replay. I’m not defending the guy but I thought he showed lots of enthusiasm when either team made a big play.

I've never seen a no-call on a hold be looked at that hard. The only person who actually played football didn't think it was a hold so Tessitore had to bring in an "expert" to disagree with him. NEVER seen anything like that in football commentary.
