Jeudy survey

You don't think this would be a completely different team if we had Cook this year? Kaaya and a home run threat to play PA off of would be jaw dropping awesome. One player does make a difference, ask Bama Amari's freshman year. Whenever they were in a tough spot he would come through for them.

With Cook here we beat FSU the last two years and Golden is probably still here. So it would be bitter sweet. I hope Cook goes to the draft early.

I am 100% convinced that Golden, even with those blue chippers, would not have succeeded at Miami with his garbage Defense. It may be a blessing in disguise we didn't get those kids. Richt, with those blue chippers...........oh, man!

Yeah, I don't think we give Golden enough credit for what a horrendous coach he was/is. He'd find some kind of way to ***** it up. He'd probably lose a couple of games with the 2001 team.

I firmly believe that if Golden had the 2001 team - we'd have gone 9-3.

We won with Larry Coker. I think you are underestimating how good that team really was....

He's a must get, but I wouldn't label him going to BAMA as a "huge miss". Richt has a lot of ground to make up, this is Golden's **** up.

I don't even see how this is a debate.

Jeudy's the top WR on our WR board. I don't give a **** who we just recruited last year, you have to keep stacking talent. And he's the most talented WR we're after right now.

Just because AR has the hype now doesn't mean he'll pan out.

I just wish there was one comment in this thread that would give me any reason to believe he was going anywhere but Alabama. Alabama has no negatives from a football standpoint. As long as they are on top we just have to expect to be beat by them absent any other consideration. We blew it with Cooper but recruited the heck out of Ridley who grew up loving Miami. No one recruit is going to derail us.

We'd be better with Jeudy than without him. I don't think one recruit would ever "derail" us. Still, that doesn't make losing a recruit of Jeudy's talent any more acceptable.

I don't know how it would impact any other games, but taking the one guy in both those games we could not stop and putting him on our team would of made a big difference if in nothing else he would not of won the games for them. Beating FSU the past two years might have given Golden more time too. Which is why it is bitter sweet in that we now have a better coach, staff, and future, but it comes at the cost of not having an amazing player and losing to our biggest rival the past two years.

I thought we already took one recruit in this past class they wanted? So its not like they can't be beat, or we can't beat them. While they are winning championships it does not appear they are developing players for the NFL. There is also a chance of limited to no playing time with them due to all the other high recruits they are getting. So there main positive is that you have a better shot at a championship, but there is no guarantee. If he wants playing time, staying home, better schooling, and possibly better prepared for the NFL then we have a lot better chance.

Nobody we miss on will set this team back thats always the case... Guys like Dalvin Cook wouldve still been part of a below average fb team regardless.

This.

This is what some don't get.

Even if we'd have gotten Ridley, or Cook, or fill-in-the-blank, UM's choice of inept coaches would have done nothing with all that talent.

Winners like to win. We win, we'll draw winners.

Just like Bama.

It would make no difference in our potential win total this year... Joe Yearby and Mark Walton arent scrubs. Kaaya should be the main home run threat with his QB play if you believe the hype. We have Stacy Coley, who is a home run threat as well, we have enough play makers... If this was Duke's football team then i would agree but Miami has enough talent to make plays and get it done.

Yearby, Gus and Walton are going to he better then FSU's rushing attack this year. Guaranteed.

Canes fan here so I come in peace... but I follow and am a fan of Kentucky basketball, which I think is great comparison to Alabama football. Do you think UK gets every recruit they are after? No. They get high quality players who are elite, but not necessarily their top choice. The reality is that kids do not always fit in with the culture of the program, and they have personal interests that play a part in their choice. Not every player wants to compete with other elite recruits for playing time. Some prefer to stay home while others want to leave. My whole point is that you never know when it comes to kids these days. But to your point, one recruit does not make or break a team. It is a collective effort and requires stacking talent and depth to compete with the teams that are chasing national titles each year.

Dalvin Cook is a Top 2 RB in the country. Our rushing attack won't be better, let's be serious.

Top 5. Fourenette, chubb, and the kid from Stanford are better. Hasnt really done anything in big games except till the 4th against us on a blown tackle.
